Thanks for the discussion of your color inspiration for your beautiful cardigan. I had not heard of Bernat Klein before and his work brings to mind the amazing work of Kaffe Fassett. So much inspiration for weaving and quilting along with knitting! Lovely podcast as always. 🥰

Amy, you are amazing in so many ways, but what I wanted to comment on is how every color looks great on you! You look great in cool blues and pinks, warm reds and yellows and of course your bright neon green shawl. I've never seen a color look bad on you. And of course, then there is your knitting, but I won't even get into how amazing that is.

Hi Amy, Thank you for another lovely episode. Your jumper turned out so beautiful. That color looks so good on you. I have to shout a big WOW !! Rebecca's new cardigan design, the Leith, is gorgeous, the colors you picked are sooooo good. It looks beautiful on you. Our stashes can quickly get out of hand, especially if we want to make all the beautiful things we see. Who has time to put things away nicely when there is a another project calling to us. Take care

Absolutely agree with your comments on the GB Sewing Bee - the same can be said for the Great Pottery Throw Down (and, of course, the grand dame GBBO)- the support and generosity shown by the makers and crafters is lovely and I find myself seeking kindness in what I watch these days!

Amy, I think your new design with bobbles and loops could be a hit - there is enough texture and patterning in it to make it really different, but the colour keeps it accessible. Hopefully you will release it as a design to purchase. The colours in the Gallus Scarf/shawl are some of the best on you, I would never have thought that the pink and grey brown would make such an unusual and beautiful colour. Congratulations on your first design!

I love your Leith, Amy! I can't wait to get my hands on this pattern. Your buttons are 👩‍🍳💋. Thanks for sharing your stash tidy (and all praise to Sonya!). It must feel so great to have it sorted and be able to find what you have when you need something in particular. (Oh, and the reason the US version of the bake-off is called the "baking show" is that Pillsbury, a US company, trademarked the phrase "bake-off" for their own baking competition, the Pillsbury Bake Off.) If you love the baking show and the sewing bee, you might also enjoy the Great Pottery Throwdown, which is equally amazing. I do love watching competent people do what they're good at!

Thank you for sharing your time with us. I love your Leith cardigan. I hope to make one from stash, which will require that I “confront” my stash. I totally understand how daunting this can be, but, now and then, it is necessary. So, maybe in the new few weeks, I will have a look at my stash. I can’t wait for your pattern to be released, as I am going on a road trip with some of my knitting friends in October and will at least have a project in mind. Enjoy the yarn festival, and I look forward to hearing about it and seeing your acquisitions. Cheers, Dee

I enjoy your podcasts so much Amy, and I always come away feeling refreshed and inspired. Those two sweaters, the Leath and the Plum are works of art. Your ability to mix threads to create these beautiful colours and textures is unbelievable.. that is a gift. I feel as you do about shawl shapes and a crescent shape is all I wear. Can't wait to see it finished..hope there is a pattern to come. All the best..

Amy your Leith cardigan is gorgeous and the colours go so well together. Excellent choice for the buttons as well. I knit intarsia years ago and must give it another go. Your Thonnan top is gorgeous and I love the bright pink, it looks like a feather and fan lace work yoke. I as well enjoyed both the Barbie movie and Oppenheimer. I love the design of your new shawl, I look forward to the launch of both your new designs. I’m really looking forward to my trip to Scotland and have my tickets to the Scottish Yarn festival and just binding of my shrug today! Can’t wait to meet you. Your cardigan is outstanding! Your color sense is so amazing, and also really a specific taste- I see a lot in common with that color combo you came up with that was inspired by that purse from your grandmother (shawlography??). And yet your stripes could gave come directly from your new book…. Possibly part of the underlying reason you were attracted to the class, and bought the book. I second the suggestion of Aimee’s knit lab- It’s been very interesting.

I enjoyed this podcast, again like all the others .. thank you. Regarding Bärbel and her shawls, she seems to have a similar way as the designer Christel Seyfahrt. I did knit one of her beach rose shawl in fair isle and steeked ! It was a great experience and that shawl is my favourite. I bought a kit from Christel, the wool still has some spinning grease which prevents falling stitches, and after washing it gets lovely ( still a bit rough compared to merino) but it feels very cosy and warm. I am looking forward to your experience with such a shawl ! Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭love pat
