In this video, its important to time your preemergent right. You want to make your application before weeds have a chance to grow. I will also get into detail on what you should do and not do.

Charlotte, NC...2 acres, about 56k sq ft of turf...I want to level the lawn but when...I use Prodiamine WDG/backpack sprayer application... approaching the time to apply but when can I level the Bermuda grass? April, May? Should I wait to aerate before leveling or should I aerate now/February and then level in April/May...I'm using spectracide and Image weed kill for crabgrass and other weeds...really bumpy and want to level this lot this year. Help

Aerate first then level. Best time to level is when temps in the high 80's to 90's and when the lawn is growing aggressively. You really don't want to aerate when the grass is dominant. My answer is assuming you have bermuda or zoysia.

@TheALG would it be ok to do a round of Spectracide pre-emergent right after an application Scotts Fall Winterguard Weed & Feed?

So when you do your 2 applications in fall, how many weeks do you wait to apply the second application????

Still thinking about it. Probably going lesco 007 first app, then on my second app maybe prodiamine or spectricle haven't decided yet

@eudessantana135 alot of preemergents will prevent spurge. Dimension or even box store products like lesco 007 pendamethalin and spectricide weed stop. Timing is key
