Conversations are not usually so cohesive as this one, especially when people are passionate about a subject, so yes it allows a lot of different perspectives into the story, but it's unnatural. At least that is my initial instinct, and I come from a mining village, and I have heard some of the arguments going on, especially before Brexit, and they tend to be full of bawling and shouting. Last time emotions run that high was the miner's strike, both events decisive in attempting to maintain some kind of status quo, quality of life, and clear self-identity in small communities, ironically-strong on one hand, but fragile to the new global world of modernism that has appeared since Thatcher. This proves how right we were to strike, we were fighting for more than pits over dole, but for humanity, but most folk by then in the UK had thrown in the towel, and decided dog eat dog was going to be the way. Now it's pay back time, as increasing nos fall into poverty traps, including fuel poverty. WHAT A SHAMBLES!!! Hope it's a good movie, if not, I shall endeavour to write a book and script myself-too many losses not to, my town, my life, and some of my mate's lives-dead, far too young! A lot of blood on the hands of those Tories, and their rich donors! And after trying to help in community devt, I've ended that now, on sick, and sick of what's gone in past, and what's going on now. It needs exposing! Let's hope Mr Loach has manged to do a number, if not I shall drag him out of retirement in a year or two with a new script Sick of it all!!!!!!!
