I like to think that "demon" is less of a species and more of a title, hence why the Bat Queen and Eda's beast form are demons

From what I've read, a kikimora can malevolent _or_ benevolent depending on whether or not the kikimora likes you 🤔.

I hope they show more demons in season 2, since they didn't show very many in season 1.

It's my theory that King is actually a Wendigo of Native-American folklore. A massive humanoid man-eater with a deer or goat skull for a head. The collar around his neck is just keeping his monstrous side at bay. I'm still not sure if it was Eda or someone way before who put it on him.

According to TV Tropes, the Snaggleback is the Boiling Isles' version of a kappa (a yokai that looks like a cross between a monkey 🐒 and a turtle 🐢 (or in this case a tortoise 🐢)). TV Tropes also says, that while it's possible that the Snaggleback _can_ survive the boiling rains 🌧, this particular one might have sought shelter in the Owl House because there's a crack on his shell 🐚 🤔. The poor Snaggleback, just can't catch a break, can he 😔😅??

Fun little fact, several demons on King's Demon's 101 board are actually creatures you can find in the game of Dungeons and Dragons. In the bottom right corner you have the beaked brain known as a Grell. Above that is the well-known Beholder, a creature that would be a danger to anyone. Finally to the left of the Snaggleback is an old beast known as the Mauler, with one less leg than usual.

what if all demons are depowered like king and the less demonic energy you have the less you are affected so large demons like king and the snaggleback are small and cuddly but demons with less of the energy retain more of their former traits like warden wrath

What I want to know is- are demons evolved beings, or are they more animalistic than witches, or are all demons just super different? We've seen little to no consistency when it comes to demons. Can they do magic? If the Bat Queen is a palisman, we know she can perform magic, and we've also seen other demons do it, like Tibbles and Kikimora, but most demons are treated like beasts. The Titan, being somewhat like the deity of the Boiling Isles, was both a demon (I believe) as well as the source of magic. Is there some kind of prejudice against demons among witches, or are witches just a type of demon? They do live in the Demon Realm, not the "Witch Realm." Maybe witches evolved from humans that found their way into the Demon Realm and bred with demons, producing many varying degrees of human-ness and demonic-ness, Boscha for example (Iwonder if more demonic-looking witches experience some form of racism). That would explain why witches had to use glyphs to do magic before it was part of their descendants' biology, but it wouldn't explain why most demons can't do magic the way that witches do it currently.
