Today we are going to talk about the legendary patron saint of Belgian beer, brewers and Hop pickers: Saint Arnold of Soissons. Saint Arnold was the man who through the power of God and the beer was able to perform miracles which saved the lives of countless people from famine and disease by offering clean and pasteurized beer. Today we going to tell his story and those of his sudsy miracles.

Thank you for the kind words! I'm currently visiting the states and hope to try some St Arnold again. I loved their pumpkinator and hope I can find some other quality stuff. Any recommendations?

Awesome! It's a fantastic book and certainly a classic must have for beer readers. I'll say that some of the information is a bit outdated (even more so depending on which edition you have) but is still one of the most important and influential books on beer still to this day. Funny enough mine is also a used copy that I bought online from a library in the UK haha. Still has the little filing sticker on its spine and everything. Thanks for stopping by my friend! Beer/Wine are still accepted and encouraged in moderation in the Catholic and Orthodox churches. It is mostly modern Western Protestant denominations that look down upon it entirely.

I actually picked up a very interesting book that covers various Christian sects and beer. I want to make a review on it one day. It's absolutely fascinating how one over arching religion can have so many different views on a single topic
