Yeah but notice everything is pre prepped and at hand. All he is doing is pan frying and preparing the sauce. I'll bet he has a kitchen staff off camera getting everything ready so all he has to do is some quick cooking and assembly for the camera. And you know the way these TV chefs like to make a mess in the kitchen. You can bet he isn't cleaning that up either.

Watching Gordon now for so long, I would say that’s a medium to medium well steak and the onions may have been over grilled, considering how they cling to the griddle when he goes to pull them and the one side was darker than the other. Nooooo. I you must be joking. Enough for 2 Bavette steak - £4 Flat Mushrooms - £1 Red onion - 30p Blue cheese!? Cheap 😂 - £2.40 - 200g Lettece - 90p Watercress- £1.50 Mustard/tobacco/Lea and perrins- £5 Ciabatta - (that one is… £3) Even if you had half of that, it’s still 5 a pop… this isn’t an everyday day lunch 😂 not for the regular person at least.

@@00sheehanc tbh, I’m not entirely sure who has a steak sandwich for lunch lol. You could easily swap out some of the stuff like blue cheese for some cheaper cheese. Idk what exactly but something like cheddar. You only need a little bit of mustard, tobasco (although tobacco would be an interesting taste lol) etc, so you can use those ingredients many many times over. Ciabatta? A baguette is decent enough. So you can easily cut down the costs. And btw, I could eat that steak sandwich myself 😂😂

Saw a Chef make an interesting argument regarding this. Basically put he said that it is better not to rest your steaks. Sure it will run but the benefit you get from eating a nice hot steak pretty much right off the grill outwheigh eating a lukewarm one that has been sitting there for 10 minutes.
