How to Build a Simple Folding Workbench for small Workshops. A very easy project that is a great solution for small work spaces where a static workbench is not suitable as it takes up to much room. Every DIY enthusiast needs a workbench and now there isn’t an excuse not to have one. I got inspiration for this project after seeing a similar one over at The Family Handyman so thanks to those guys.

Have a golf cart, bikes, CNC machine, welder and million other things in my garage so I can’t fit a dedicated workbench. Made this dudes folding wall bench on the other video. Highly recommend his plans.

These folding workbenches are great. My father and I have building and using them on for job site workbenches ever since wood magazine first posted the plans back in the 90s.

I love your design. You are a great presenter. You added some extra features that make you design far above the rest. I have watched other videos with a similar design. Not one of them talks about clamping with wood when attaching the sides in the middle. To me this seemed like an obvious solution to lining it up. kudos to you.

Adding two more interior edge bands at the inside edges of the bench ends to lock the bench open would be a nice improvement that would eliminate the need for those hinge locks.

Looks great for a small work table. Only improvement I can see would be piano hinges. These would considerably stiffen the folding joins.

G'day 'Uncle Knackers'. Really liked your updated DIY Folding Mobile Workbench desing. I first saw this on 'Pneumatic Addict' back in Mar 14, 2018. I then built mine from pallet wood and a scrap piece of laminate wood (for the bench top). I like the updates you made on the design such as the underside edging to keep the table top static and the blocks to stop the folding arms from colapsing inwards. As always, great work mate!
