The substitute comment was somewhat true though. Mostly all the subs I've had throughout middle school and high school are just so boring and just sit at the teacher's desk like they've got nothing better to do.
@bikerboy9010
@bikerboy9010 6 жыл бұрын
It is true that when a person subs in middle school or high school, they generally never have lesson plans where the substitute teacher is expected to teach. When people sub for middle school and high school classes, the lesson plans they generally have are lesson plans where they are supervising/monitoring students working on a classroom assignment or project, lesson plans where the sub is supervising students taking a test, lesson plans where the sub shows a video to students and the students work on a worksheet that goes along with the video, etc. Subbing in middle school or high school is more babysitting than actual teaching. I do agree with you how subbing in middle school and high school is more babysitting than actual teaching. Typically in middle school or high school, long term substitutes are the only substitute teachers who engage in actual teaching. The reason why substitute teachers in middle schools and high schools never have lesson plans where they are expected to teach is because it's unpredictable what someone is an expert on. Some substitute teachers are experts on pre algebra, algebra, calculus, Spanish, French, German, Chemistry, Physics, World History, etc while other substitute teachers are not experts on these topics. Those teachers at the middle school and high school level generally prepare lesson plans where they don't have to worry about whether the person subbing for them is an expert in that specific subject since sometimes it can be hard to find substitutes who are experts in certain subjects, and very often, teachers don't know who will be subbing for them. Substitutes are needed since middle school and high school students can't be left unsupervised. When administrators and secretaries aren't able to get someone to sub for a specific teacher, the other regular teachers and substitute teachers often have to cover/sub for those teachers during their planning/break periods since the students can't be left in a classroom unsupervised.

PooleSilly Principal's.are not supposed to be you friend. A teacher is never your friend even if they're kind, generous, pleasant, respectful, fair especially when school years and terms are in secession. It is because they're your teacher. You can see that in unpleasant or unfair teachers who don't care. Simply put this way, your teacher might be a buddy or friend at some point however the student is the student and teachers are their to teach.

Both Chris (a.k.a. "Mouth of the South") and Anthony are equal at this school because of how many times they've been sent to the office and disciplined by Dean Arritt and/or Assistant Principal Harvey for being loud, rude, disrespectful, and inappropriate in some way, shape, or form, like mouthing off the teacher in charge or cutting class. If you try shirking your way through school like those students, it just goes to show that you have zero respect for authority or any of the rules in school.

It is true that not all substitute teachers are real teachers meaning that they have their teaching certificates. There are a lot of substitute teachers that have teaching certificates. A lot of substitute teachers are retired teachers. There's lots of substitute teachers who have their teaching certificate, and there's lots of substitute teachers who don't have their teaching certificate. Regardless of whether that substitute teacher has or doesn't have a teaching certificate, Anthony should have been respectful to his substitute teacher.

I am 31 years old. When I was in high school, I rarely got in trouble with the principal. There was no zero tolerance at the time, as I was in college at the time of the Columbine massacre. I have had respect issues with authority figures especially my parents and their church. Their beliefs show that they are unworthy of my respect. I despise oppressive authority figures. Today's parents, teachers, and school principals have taken authority too far.
