I used to go to school in Ontario Canada back when i was in the first grade, most of the rural area schools there don't have cafeterias since the school attendance in those areas is not enough to have one, so you ether pack your lunch or went off campus and brought your lunch, matter in fact i did not first stepped foot in a school cafeteria until it moved to the states, now however every once a month you had milk or pizza day and what that is, the day before you brought in two or three dollars and the next day whoever did received a small carton of milk or a TV dinner sized pizza

My school will let you do that. I’m even ordering off of Uber eats and Grubhub and the office or cafeteria staff has it waiting for me or the other people. They check all deliveries, food or not.

@@TheAwesomeGamer365 it's called a truancy officer if you get an enlarged amount of unexcused absences and/or just ditching/leaving school it is law that the truancy officer then has to come in contact with you and make sure you go to school. But God what do I know since apparently people can just do whatever they want according to you. I mean do you even understand that we don't even have our basic human rights at school? You are so fucking uneducated.

Oh, come on. Did you really expect the principal to be soft on those two girls for violating closed-campus policy? If they don't like the school food, they could've AT LEAST brought their own lunch from home. They didn't have to sneak off campus during school hours. Not to mention the fact that it's a safety issue. I mean, think about it. These two girls sneak off campus, what if something bad happened to them? What if they got hit by a car? What if they got raped or kidnapped? What if they got shot by a stranger? Who's gonna be responsible?

Just Cuz During study hall and unscheduled periods, lunch, etc., I see 7th and 8th graders leaving with upperclassmen all the time, and they’re never in trouble for leaving campus or for the 9th grade and up, taking underclassmen off campus.

It’s so sad. I see so many kids say the food makes them sick and the administration is always in disbelief. Like... the food really is that bad though. But one person gets sick from lettuce and they have to recall every head of lettuce from stores and restaurants

I live in Illinois, and I graduated last year, and my school outside of Chicago (in Evanston) allowed us to go out and get food if we were juniors and seniors, and not under some kind of disciplinary measure.

I went to a private school with a closed campus, and not only were we not allowed to go off campus, but they locked all outside entrance doors so even if you got out, you'd be caught trying to get back in. Of course, our campus was in a very dangerous area of the city, so they were trying to prevent kids from getting hurt or killed. That may be the case here or it may be that it's just a rule all across the school district.

Two Saturday detentions is a little harsh I think, unless they have been disciplined for this or something similar before. I would’ve went with maybe one-two regular detentions. If someone bought it for them and they didn’t even leave campus then I don’t even think it’s a big deal to start with

my principal from my old high school let’s us order what we want on Uber eats, we order mcdonalds, chilis, chick fil a, etc and we can either eat in the cafeteria or in the teachers classroom. teachers don’t care either and it’s an hour lunch break.

most of the u.s school systems cut coners make the meals with low grade food products with small employment and low standerd brands where some systems go big on budget or bring in food service contrators such as sodexo and aramark that bring in thare own rated products and hire that own people on site

In my junior and senior years in the early 80's, juniors and seniors were allowed to get off-campus lunch permits. But the Fort Worth ISD school board ended the privilege, and that went into effect the year after I graduated.

Many times with situations like that the area is good enough to allow for lots of latitude, but let one problem result from that lax enforcement policy it may cost the school system dearly and the Principal his/her job.

My school allows 9th-12th to leave campus, but I see 7th & 8th graders leaving with upperclassmen. Neither groups get in trouble for taking underclassmen off campus or leaving campus. That rule is enforced terribly. Even underclassmen are leaving during lunch, study hall, unscheduled period, etc. That resulted in one principal at another city school losing his job for underclassmen leaving with upperclassmen.

At Fishers High School we had rules about that we weren't allowed to leave campus at anytime during the school day agree with the two Saturday detentions the principal didn't have the right to take their food but same time all they had to do was tell the truth and they will have to face the consequences of their choices and behavior

A more appropriate consequence would be taking away their parking permits and placing them on short-term administrative probation in addition to the Saturday School for 2 consecutive Saturdays!!!
