I started carrying mail in 1994. I will be taking my retirement as soon as I am eligible in just over 2 years. I cannot emphasize strongly enough just how much the postal service has changed, and it is not worth the money. The job has become increasingly abusive, harassing and horribly unprofessional. Stay in school, learn a trade, fix cars, work with electricity or Plumbing. Flip burgers and serve french fries before coming to work in such a nightmarish workplace

Yeah got one who will chase you around and yell at you accusing you of not working even if you are , apparently I’m not allowed to go to the bathroom. Luckily I no longer work with that individual

You are right, I work with all my heart no break, no stop keep going going, one of the Boss different Station told meh why I am too slow, and keep complaining why too slow, ha see you. He just worm everyone is good.

Question, why does USPS simply move horrible postmasters to a different office? Some get kicked out of an office & sent somewhere else several times and still don't change their abusive behavior at all. Why don't they just fire them?

They are union members for a long time, they got immunity.

For real, I’m low on the seniority list but I’m a regular and I’m treated like such. Go here, go there, jump ona mule, go stack wires, go drive for dispatch, and the list goes on. I also keep an eye open for different jobs.

I am a CCA for a year and every day I wonder Why I am still working for the USPS, the harrasment unbearable, specially if I can run a route like others. I haven been able to make them payme for my trainning When I started. Next week will be my five days off I am think on staying home look for another job.

I'm a Mail Handler and I've been here for over two years now. This place is very toxic and I felt this way within my first three months. Just look at as a passing through place in your journey and not your rest.

@@isidronava7497 Nop, the Postmaster came up with the excuse that it bas being too long ago and that the union never pressured them to pay me. Also if I were you take a pic of all your virtual time card because they sometimes messup with it.

I agree with your information. I have an acting supervisor and he is horrible. Lazy worker. He destroyed a bottle of medication trying to pry from clamps in a mechanic role. Just because he couldn't wait for one and there was no mail running. This is the same as stealing to me. Under oath to protect mail.

They are doing my background check now. I applied for a city carrier position. If I am selected I hope I have good managers. It is a solid concern of mine. keep up the good content.

I have friends and family members that are employees and work undher Todd Smith. This man is unprofessional, sexually harrasses the employees and is a racist, he lashes out at these vunerable employees, and holds them back from moving forward He an evil uneducated low grade Hillbilly working in this postion of Supervisor over the Covington, Kentucky Post Office. He needs to be removed as his abuse is beyond mental, physical abuse. He has been touching and threatening the women under his supervision. He uses his power and position to control/debase/setup an employee for failure. If there is anyone he has done this to please leave a coment as we need to actively seek for him to be fired, fined/ and sued

I applied for the custodial position. I figure it's a way to get my food in the door. How are the benefits? I currently work for a State University and the benefits are awesome.

Thanks for sharing! If you are going to stay until you retire, you will make around $60K-$90K per year when you retire. USPS is a long term game.

Not that I know of. You get promoted as a supervisor.

All positions at post office above entry level are promotions from within, I believe until probation is passed, then you become eligible.
