There could be multiple explanations to senjumaru’s feat 1. Her bankai and the bankais of her fellow royal guards are sealed by their souls, this would allow the bankai to gain a massive power boost in exchange for the lives for the 3 royal guard members since she can only use it after their death, think of it like an equivalent exchange of sorts 2. She has the oken. Since the oken is a direct modification to their bones and allows them to be linked to the soul king, all the possessors of the oken might be a pseudo soul king in a sense where they’re intricately connected to the stability of the three realms. So when a royal guard goes all out, the reiatsu exerted causes the realms to feel its effect which leads to my third possibility 3. Not enough control over their power. As crazy as it sounds, think about it. The only people that are stronger than senjumaru who can’t shake the realms are either non-possessors of the soul king’s parts (ichigo and aizen) or they have bodies that far surpasses that of a regular shinjgami (yhwach being the soul king’s son and Ichibe being the second in command to the soul king). Ichibe might also have an advantage since his name granting allows him to freely control the power of ichimonji thru its name which prob alllows him to condense ichimonji’s power without much effort

Hikifune literally said her spiritual pressure was in a higher dimension than anything Renji OR ICHIGO had ever experienced. This is in both the anime and manga. The Oken clearly evolved them the same way the Hogyoku evolved Aizen. Shutara's display with her Bankai merely proved that Hikifune wasn't lying. With Ichibe, all black in the universe becomes his power. His power isn't contained by the universe like Shutara's; it becomes part of the universe. That's why he doesn't shake the realms like Shutara did.

Well yeah I assumed they were trying to show us this by the fact that the celestial palace training was a taste of how the zero division lived so they passively grew greater in spiritual capacity and having their flesh and bone made into sacred matter resonate with spirit was like an immediate spirit boost. Like the schmucks who live in the city weren’t necessarily elite and sent up because of it they were probaby nobles and maybe normie pluses and the act of breath dense spirit particles just made them all stronger then the basic scrub level shinigami (who seem barely better then mortals at the lowest level).

Easiest and simplest explanation, because it’d be a waste of time and money to show the realms shaking every time someone released their power. The standing of the Royal Guard among the special war powers may yet change, or the special war power feats themselves. It's too early to tell. Ichibei and Aizen didn't perform Bankai anyway. A _real_ Bankai. And Ichigo got nerfed by Yhwach. Also Yamamoto said no Shinigami stronger than himself had been _born_ in the last 1000 years. Chances are everyone in the Royal Guard is 1000+ years old.

It feels that a natural evolution of a Bankai, IF strong enough to become Yamamoto levels, is to be able to shake or damage the realm they are in. In Yamamoto's case, it can eradicate the realm he is easily. In Ichibei's case, he can rob it of darkness and "stealing 100 nights off of Soul Society" Hopefully we get to see it in more detail with other characters of similar tier even more, like Ichigo.

Hikufune, Senjumaru, Tenjiro and Nimaiya probably linked their powers with the blood oath they made. So her shaking all 3 realms will be not just her power but the power of the other 3 guards who sacrificed their lives. Seems simple enough reason.

Maybe when her Bankia works a pocket dimension or some distorsion of space. Or maybe hwen she sealed all of them in the same place the reatsu of all of them combined was what caused the realms to shake. They were desperate and maybe emiting reatsu uncontrolably

they killed themselves removing the seals of her power and giving it to senjumaru, so she got the additional power of 3 other members, if all of them are stronger than most captains then it would make sense that 3x the power of a squad member released into one bankai would be strong as hell, especially when we consider that it "took out" all of the yhwach's royal guards at once (but ofc they survive cuz they are shown later in the manga so they cant die)

it just wasn't shown with the other characters because then they have to shake the realms everytime andd they control their strength. Same thing with dbs or other series when characters could destroy or shake galaxies but they don't

I have been thinking this so many times my theory is that instead the blood oath fuses, the spiritual pressure of the other three who had to die, sending it to the single live one and that’s why it shakes the realms

i think it's because their harakiri released the blood oath sealing her power. and because Bankai releases a massive amount of Reiryoku inherently, and because she got special treatment from Kubo & the anime staff: the result was this awesome display of power. she also said the slightest release of her power would cause the heaven and earth of the three realms to shake. meaning if she released more... well who really knows what would've happened!

I think it have to do with what kind of power they possess too. Ichibe doesn't shake the realm not because it doesn't do damage, his power literally stole the black from the world. Yamamoto's literally burning the soul society. Aizen is putting anyone who saw his zanpakutou into illusion. Kenpachi can cut everything, even space itself as gremmie tried to seal him away in space. And I believe Ichigo is the same as zaraki, since his sword also have slayer in it's name, they don't have passive effect, but are devastating in power. So I think the reason senjumaru's bankai shake the world is because her power is connected to it, since I suspect her power, deal with fate. Each of the 0 division seems to be similar to her, but I also suspect that oetsu will have a similar power to Ichigo and zaraki where it doesn't have passive effect on the world or the area they're in

Yamamoto was offered to join Royal guard which he refused. He did remain the strongest shinigami. When Senjumaru's bankai shaken 3 realms it's not because it's more powerful than Yama's bankai, it's because she and the rest of the Royal Guards are connected to those 3 worlds.

Aizen, before creating this key which allowed him to enter the Rayo palace, had certainly anticipated that he would encounter resistance from Division 0 and that he had even planned the means to neutralize each of them. ..Aizen is not finished, believe me. But be sure that the power level of the Zero Division is not exaggerated

I always think that the reason why Ichigo, Ichibei, and Aizen couldn't shake the three realms is because they are transcended beings, and exists on a higher dimensional plane.

Ichigo is beyond shinigami and can control his output. Aizen and Ichigo while transcendent were already bending the laws of creation without shaking the realms (Kototsu destruction, Mugetsu etc). Ichibei already affects the 3 realms in shikai alone through Ichimonji's control over black. You don't have to visually indicate the feat every time to showcase that these individuals can still replicate that feat. Like in most shounen. There is a reason why Yamamoto could destroy the Soul society in bankai while senjumaru could shake all realms with her power just releasing, whereas Ichibei in shikai controls everything black in all realms. There is a very specific order of power being shown to us. Ichigo became transcendent again and him simply performing a Getsuga Juujisho was a feat on par to Gremmy's Meteor which threatened the Soul society like Yamamoto's shikai and bankai. Hogyoku Aizen being transcendent over Yamamoto, the Gotei and even the 0 division was depicted differently. We also got the guide books that state which Aizen forms surpassed/were on par with the SK in reiatsu, who most definitely has the most reiatsu aside from Ichigo, Aizen and SK Yhwach.

Yes. This was all but explicitly stated when looking at the details, not just the action. The Soul King's power is directly responsible for keeping the three realms separated, and the Oken directly ties the Royal Guard to the Soul King through his palace. This was explicitly stated in manga, as well as the RG being directly transformed by the Soul King's power when they received the Oken. It makes perfect sense that channeling their collective power into a single bankai would affect the three realms.

That IS indeed true. The only true member(first member) of the royal guard is ichibei. Rest all were captains who were promoted "not for their strength" but for their "contributions to soul society". We dont know of nimaiya's past. But we do know that Kirinji was Unohana's mentor and the inventor of healing Kido "Kaido". So its safe to assume he lead Div. 4 Senjumaru and Hikifune both hint(confirmed in case of hikifune lol) at being captains of Div 12. So yes it is safe to assume that none of them really had that level of strength and that under Ichibei's tutelage they acquired the strength. Not to mention, i believe it says "collective strength of squad zero is greater than gotei 13". Even if four of them were fodder captain shinigami(they arent), Ichibei alone would have carried them.

Ichibei’s Bankai uses all the black in existence and makes it his own power so his Bankai pretty much works in tandem with the verse 2. This is wrong. The royal guards all killed themselves transferring their power to the one left for their bankai. So all combined into one without the exception of Ichibei. That is the rule as only 1 can do it amongst all of them. Hers specifically was set up to take out multiple targets at once when others was not. Ichbei as the leader was separate from them as the last line of defense for the Soul King. I could venture that they would have more power combined than Ichibei. His hax is broken though as he controlled all names and could thwart the one they chose in the case they chose to overthrow him.

If Gerard's Miracle and Pernida's evolution are their own abilities despite being direct pieces of the soul king then the Oken should be and is treated as part of the abilities of the royal guard. Even though both points are just wrong, the real reason is simply Senjumaru and the royal guard are just that strong. I don't know why we're still explaining this to grown men in 2024 but just because a character doesn't do something, doesn't mean they can't. If you can accept that Goku can destroy a planet despite him never doing it then the whole "they can't do it because we never seen it happen" point is shot dead. Characters can control and hold back their power, if they didn't there wouldn't be anywhere for anyone to fight. I had a debate about this. Idk why people are having so much problem with Senjumaru being this strong. While I agree that they must've had a power boost after becoming RG and it must be the oken but in case some people might get the wrong idea, they're not using the SK power when activating their Bankai, as in they are not parasitically absorbing his power upon activating their Bankai, they are also not combining each other's power to do this and it's not related to the location either. It should be her own power tho, because stronger characters such as Yhwach and Aizen caused an imbalance in the entire cosmology(not just dangai like Senjumaru) by releasing hell because their SP wasn't present anymore to maintain it in the novels, that'll be a much stronger feat than Senjumarus one because hell is outside the dangai which means not only is it an entire outer realm the characters would have to radiate enough power that first passes through the infinite dangai along with its infinite realms and universes to get to hell and yet Aizen and Yhwach SP was doing that easy and they are much stronger characters than she is too so it is pretty consistent and characters that scale around Aizen and Yhwach level would certainly scale to or above such feats performed by Aizen and Yhwach therefore shaking dangai is no where near as strong as what those other characters are capable of
