Terrible take, Alexander!! He’s at fault for her acting like this?! How does that remotely compute? She has no right to come out in public yelling at him, nor does she have the right to throw his food on the floor. She is 100% in the wrong and the fact that you blame him for her behavior is a part of the problem, Alex.

Direct accountability is a masculine trait. Women do have the luxury of getting to change over time and not be held to men's standards. It's only fair, their lot in this life is rife with other problems, and they are not as impactful a set of movers and shakers as men are.

@@em0_tionEh, a lot of deep cultural roots for that one. Long before third-wave feminism even. Many traditional machismo rules and values teach to bring up men strong, angry and deaf to their feelings other than shades of anger and aggression. Meanwhile to bring up girls like spoiled princesses, bereft of meaningful autonomy with responsibility and accountability. Probably a lot more causes that haven't crossed my mind exist.

@@DamianSzajnowski Absolutely agree if you ignore my half-joking jab at fathers. It doesn't feel right to put the whole blame on parents, but who else is in direct control of raising their own children? Who is making the deliberate choice to raise them with the same "gender roles" (urgh, it sounds so PC in today's climate 😂 ) behaviors? Who else is there teaching both right from wrong and instilling in them the "correct" values? As you said - a deep/complex issue. Is almost a total honesty a good method to fight off BS in their upbringing? Fathers REALLY tend to spare their daughters from everything and anything, like it's the only way to show them love. Bringing us back to my first comment... I dunno. 🤷‍♂

I recently had a conversation with three women. My mother, her friend, and friend's daughter. Somehow we got on the subject of being wrong, and they all agreed that they hate being wrong. I asked why, but they couldn't give me a strait answer. So, I said, "You know you could all be more happy, and have more fulfilling relationships if you just admitted when you're wrong instead of wasting so much energy making lies and covering your butts for who knows how long. It just takes 2 seconds to say I'm wrong and move on, but instead you choose to spend weeks hiding from the truth, until men forget." Needless to say, that was out of place for a quiet guy like me, and they were shocked. I just get so tired of the games...

Carl Jung said that some people will do anything, no matter how absurd, to avoid facing their own souls. Sometimes that means they will fight tooth and nail to outrun the ugly truths. Over time I came to realize that one of our duties as men is to speak the truth, because if we won't then no one else will, and if no one does then all hell breaks loose. However sometimes one can be driven by less than noble motivations. I believe it was Thomas Aquinas who said that we should never use the truth to wound and I think there's wisdom in that, because often times so-called tough love or brutal honesty are merely therapeutic acts used out of selfishness. Bible advises that all we do should be done out of love, so I would summarize that if we want to better our environments we have a duty to speak the truth out of love.

@@michaelzero5278you know it, man. I have been with the same woman for decades. We have 2 adult children. I am willing to forgive mistakes and the occasional bad day- all of us get them. But I told my woman sometime during COVID, that I am no longer willing to be a doormat. The next time she tested my words, I started surfing the 'net in search of a new place to live. When she asked me what I was doing, I told her. I also said I would stop looking on the condition she took responsibility, apologized for her bad behaviour with no ifs, ands, or buts. And she gave a reasonable assurance it would happen again. Faced with owning up to her bad behaviour or facing life alone in her late middle age*, she swallowed hard and gave me a legit apology. She needs me. Our assets are divided. I choose to support her. I told her straight up that she can be replaced. I do not grant tenure, and I am not a union shop. If she wants to remain employed as my wife, then she she must do a better job than any woman, or women who might replace her. That was conversation stopper. Faced with these choices, she chose to give me a legit apology. And my marriage has improved as I became a proper MAN. Now the amount of testing I get has decreased exponentially. The way I interact with people is to be 1) polite, honest, & direct 2) ensure my words & actions ALIGN. When they don't align you are telling people you don't mean what you say, at best. Or you are deliberate liar, at worst. Neither is a good way to present yourself. By having your words & actions align is the way to earn respect. Do this and your life will improve.

One credit to your wife, she saved you time and money by not going to marriage counseling. The majority of marriage counselors are women and they will support other women by blaming the husband being at fault for everything. The woman counselor would feed the wife more crazy ideas on how to destroy their marriage. At least what happened with you, your ex was not aware of doing that and you now have more peace of mind without her. Never take her back, if you want to keep that peace.

My “best friend” of over a decade, a woman I supported, uplifted, taught to be financially responsible, helped progress her career, moved into my home when she went through a break up and apparently at the time had “no where to go” - asked my husband to leave me for her. I love this man deeply and we had been together for 13 years at the time (3-4 yeas prior to me and this woman becoming friends) and she knows what he means to me. He turned her down, but *+*somehow*+* through amazing mental gymnastics and a subsequent 3 year smear campaign against me she is The Victim. I showed her my amazing home and marriage just to cruelly snatch it away from her and kick her out into the streets. It’s 3 years on and she still takes snipe attacks at me every chance she can to friends and co-workers, but refuses to speak to me directly because “she’s not sure when she will be ok with what I did to her”. All because she can’t be accountable and feel lousy for being a bad friend and acknowledge she did a terrible thing.

This, while im mid explaining it was probably the same reaction to chemical dyes in his moms diet as was setting off the issues we kept seeing and couldnt pin down right away. Yea i went the fk off and havent spoken to her since, which she was on like her 3rd chance with me anyway and i have gone years of stretches not bothering. Career stripper golddigger that abandoned me with grandma. Funny enough turned out my baby mama was no better cept in bullshitting convincingly, refused to listen 3 years prior and got him kicked out of school for setting off those issues so either didnt listen or did and did that intentionally so didnt have to wake up early etc, tells everyone i abused my kid while im half dead goin thru a post malpractice medical crisis basically bedridden and 2/3 my usual body weight. Find out a week before from her ex husband she was ditching him cross country with him and was not happy when i proved she lied again. 3 months in hes healthier, thriving in school, all from a better diet. and other than hating his mom speaks well of me. Not even outta the question the two guys she tried to manipulate and pit at odds are gonna end up living on the same property and splitting the burden while we try getting her parental rights revoked.

The insincere apology is almost as bad as the non-apology apology ('I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings'). But both are ultimately signs that your partner has no respect for you and you cannot be romantically involved with a woman who has no respect for you - at all. The solution is to leave, and to make sure to any future partners that you have standards and boundaries and both are deal-breakers. Women - the kind worth dating - respect this and will warm to you if you lay it out effectively to them. However, this will not - I repeat, not - stop them from crossing those boundaries or failing to meet your standards. When that happens, no second chances: dump her.

This strengthens her position. This is help her single out the target she is actualy attacking. Woman learn it this behavior when they are litle girls. Already in primary school some are master of this tactic. And yea your right, this lead to the "hidden" matriachy. Since centuries if not way longer woman use this tactic. She also retracted that she was wrong on things when she behaved in a bad way she already apologized for in the past. Those were also my fault now. Oh and did I mention she lost 2 good female friends during the last year who turned their back on her? But even that didn't make her think that she might be the problem.

I ended that relationship, and have had trouble trusting women ever since. That's not my only experience with that kind of think, but we had been engaged for a few years at that time. I'd much rather be alone than with a person that can't take any responsibility for their own behavior. It's not about shaming, or blaming, but just acknowledging their behavior so we could move on. My wife, who was supposed to be a recovered alcoholic and drug addict, started going to bars, "for the music". I told her that wasn't acceptable and I'd have nothing to do with her if she continues. So the next time she said she was going to a bar. I said OK, I'll box your thing up and leave them in the driveway. She didn't believe me, but it was my house and my rules. When she came back, I had the front gate locked from the inside and she had no way of getting into the property. She screamed and threatened so I called the police and told them there was a drunk at my gate screaming and that I wanted them to remove her. They did because she thought she could boss them around, and that backfired on her. I had all my locks changed the next day and it was such a relief to be rid of the trauma. I already had a divorce lawyer ready and got free of her.

If she doesn't at least approach the conversation with civility, then the relationship is over. Be careful! The look on a woman's face when you end a relationship "unexpectedly" is rather priceless. My theory is that women have a down right aversion to the idea of being wrong because 1) their bodies are naturally more weaker/softer in order to carry a child while pregnant and when they externally carry the child while it's growing. By extension this leads them to be more naturally adverse to danger both physically and emotionally. I think that aversion is translated to their mind/ego (since both originate in the brains r-complex) leading them to have an aversion to potentially being wrong to the point that hearing or contemplating the possibility of them being wrong gives them the same feeling and fear they have when confronted with a possible danger to their physical lives. And 2) women are also more naturally driven to be more selfish and self-interest, to focus more on what benefits them because in turn it would lead to them focusing on what is best for their children. However this selfishness can go out of control and turn into pure narcissism where they genuinely believe that the world should revolve around their wants and needs, therefore the concept of them being wrong becomes an impossibility in their own self-centered world-view were the world and Morality itself is based on their desires.

I reply with "You seem very skilled at choosing losers and I refuse to be your next one!" and then block them. If we all did this - we might be able to date adults in future. If that video was real - the guy assumed a child role in that relationship (by looking for her validation and trying to impress her) and that is why she treated him as such. Women don't respect weak men like that. He should have taken a steak over to her place and asked her to cook it for him. If she gets disrespectful, say b1tch shut up and then withdraw your attention. She must associate being called a b1tch with her bad behavior. If she wants more of your time, she better learn to behave and cook steak. Else it is not worth dating her. Men generally have (and women generally lack) the intellectual / ethical / moral framework required to feel guilt or shame. After all, guilt occurs when you feel consciousness of wrongdoing. based on some objective moral standard (i.e. you did something you should not have, or failed to do something you should have). Shame is the same thing, more or less, but more intensely felt. What the last 30 years of 3rd-wave feminism in the West (especially social media and smartphones in the last decade or so) have brought out into the open is that women do not have the same moral / ethical rules that govern their sense of right and wrong -- to put it bluntly, they don't really have a conscience. What they have is this vague, ill-defined, unpredictable sense of entitlement / resentment. It is impossible to feel guilty if you have no innate sense of having done wrong, and impossible *not* to feel angry / offended if you have an almost limitless sense of entitlement / privilege.

I was trying to tell him where to go for his own safety, while my wife was telling me what to do... and not in a polite way at all. This clearly got under my skin and I let her know it. We sat down the next day and had a discussion about it. Two things were decided in that discussion... 1) If there is something she is doing that I find disrespectful, I was to come to her one on one to discuss it 2) When we discuss these disrespectful incidents, I was try to do it without negative emotions, like anger I felt fine with these parameters. It isn't good to get angry, nor is it helpful. I felt it was clearly safe to share so long as I did it in the right frame of mind, without anger or negative emotions, and in a private, one on one way. But then, right in the midst of that very conversation, she said something to me that was also disrespectful. My wife justified her bossy attitude in such situations by saying the following.. "You got to understand, I've been dealing with his (her disabled son's) issues ALONE for 40 long years." Alone? ALONE? What? We have been married for 25 years. I am dad to her son. I stepped into that role willingly. I have been there for both him and her for a quarter century. Five years after we married I made it possible for my wife to go down to part time at her job so she had more free time to help her son. Then seven years later I made it possible (through my hard work) for her to quit working outside the home completely, allowing her to be a stay-at-home mother to deal with his and our daughter's needs. For 13 years I have been the sole bread winner. And not only that, but I have been there, taking him to the ER at times, taking him to doctor appointments. I was there when he needed surgery, helping every step of the way. And one of the ways my wife's disrespectful behavior has stuck in my craw is that she has shown little appreciation for my efforts, treating them as though they are some type of entitlement. But rather than get emotional about what she said, I decided to let it go and speak to her about it in a nonjudgmental and calm way later. I did this by sending her an Email, explaining how what she said made me feel unappreciated and telling her how I have been there for her and my stepson. The tone of this message couldn't have been more positive. I didn't accuse her or make her the bad guy... I just told her that when she says that she has been dealing with his issues "ALONE", it makes my efforts seem unappreciated and unrecognized. What was my wife's reaction to this message from me? She called me up at work and berated me, displaying tons of negative emotions and telling me I should have waited to later to point all this out. I did exactly what we had decided. I went to her one on one with no one else around (no easy task in our house) and without anger or bitterness and asked her to at least acknowledge my efforts on her and his behalf. The very idea that she would justify her disrespectful behavior by displaying a total lack of appreciation for the support and help I've given for 25 years is just crazy to me. And then to have this woman get all emotional and angry with me, right after she asked me not to get emotional and angry, is just pure NUTS!

If I recall correctly, there was a section in Dr. David Buss's "Evolution of Desire" wherein he explains a reason why women don't engage in violence against each other in relation to competing for mates: The reason this occurs is that, in the event a rival is attacked, this may work to her advantage in garnering sympathy from the man, and thus heightening her chances of acquiring him.

I am marrying a Vietnamese country girl. Not from a major city or tourist trap. A bona fide "còn gái miền tây" or country girl from the Mekong Delta. When she is wrong, she readily apologizes!!! Even if she discovered she was wrong and could hide it!!! She can be stubborn and solid in her own opinions, but when presented with good evidence, she concedes and is actually nice about it. All her friends and family in their "horribly patriarchal" culture are this way. Respect and decorum are mandatory. I've been wrong a few times, too, and she politely called me on it. IN PRIVATE. Then I never heard another word about it. Never brought up again, even in the next fight. When I'm telling her something important, she quietly listens and confirms verbally. Usually with a very sweet "Yes, Ông xã." If she understands or she *gasp* asks for clarification and doesn't jump to conclusions. Her communication skills are over 9000!!! Early in our relationship, when I was initially blown away and struggling to believe women like her actually existed. I asked her why she was so submissive and easy to cooperate with. She said, "I strive to be like the Buddha. I want peace." She has mastered the subtle art of getting almost anything she wants by submission. She was born into a culture that still has the wisdom to realize that is a woman's superpower over her man. She doesn't even hide it. It's not overt manipulation. If she's being extra sweet, I ask what she wants, and she smiles and says, "You're such a smart man." Then she asks for exactly what she wants, and if it is reasonable and within my power, she gets it. If it is not, I explain why, and she does not hide her disappointment, but simply says, "Yes, Ông xã." She frequently sulks a few minutes and comes back with a plan B. Better than half the time that proposition is acceptable. If not, and it's still a hard no. Again, she accepts it and is understandably disappointed, but she will not act vindictive or go behind my back. This generally leads me to formulate another plan or compensation to compromise. In other words, she bargains and deliberates like an adult. She doesn't behave like a self-absorbed child. The icing and sprinkles on top: She is also drop-dead gorgeous!

The victimhood part is extremely accurate, i had my mom throw me into a wall and scream "hit me!" over and over which at the time i didn't understand, she was actually pleading with me to hit her which i've never done while she pushed and hit me while i was backed into a corner, I just waited for my chance and ran out of the house but it was definitely a learning moment for me, most women think they can't be the abuser or oppressor if they're the victim so allowing a woman to be the victim is also like a green light for them to bash you to their hearts content. I have no doubt if I actually hit her in any way even just to protect myself she'd still be bringing it up and threatening me with it today

This low quality behavior is often learned from men validating their actions. The hotter the woman the more likely she will get simps who tell her she is the victim and more likely her Boyfriend, the one who made her angry, would be afraid she leaves so he doesnt bring up the bad behavior. What's morbidly ironic about that is it actually makes you more desirable to them and the fact that all their emotional manipulation attempts have failed will eat at them throughout the day. You'll constantly get text messages days or weeks later like "So are you done being an asshole?" as they try to keep your attention but can't help but continue to try to manipulate. If you do agree to see them again they'll aggressively throw sex at you and then try to manipulate you again after your defenses are down because for most of them those are the only tools they have. It's truly a hilarious thing to be a part of when you're emotionally disconnected from the outcome, it's like watching a toddler try to bargain using temper tantrums.

I just dumped my very beloved partner because her sister hates me and is the worst, most dangerous, massively man-hating toxic ink-covered abusive dry drunk borderline hate-filled wounded person I've ever met. I put up with her attacks, public smearing and abuse until she called me a "c*cksucker" etc.etc. My lovely partner didn't say one thing to her sister in my defense. Not through any of it. No "slow your roll", no "do that again and we've got a problem", no "that's my man", no boundary of any kind. She instead took issue with me because she "hates confrontation", "she has no more being between people energy" etc. etc. etc. ad nauseum. I called her on it over and over to the point where it was, "this moves in a direction or I'm out" for me. She understood finally and promised at the very least to provide me with a profound and well-worded apology. Crickets ensued for a month... On my way out my partner promised not to hate on me with her sister. BTW I was amazing to her. Two guesses who "the victim" is 😅

She’ll be first avoiding the reason why he is angry and making him angrier in the process. Then she’ll act as the victim of his baseless reaction. The reason why it started goes in the memory hole if she reacts strongly enough. The only remaining point will be the man forced to admit he overreacted for the starting reason if he can take responsibilities. If he can’t, she is the victim. She gets in both cases the upper hand and does not have to admit she was wrong at the starting point of the discussion that went sideways.
