I feel like these three episodes are a social media pitty party. There's something ugly about feeding off social media for fuss and sympathy, the crash was bad by why the need to extragerate the extent and talk about what could have happened. I did feel bad for Tim Dom, that was a game changer. I'm restrained to feel bad for someone who has already so much support and privilege having chosen to be an athlete which many would jump at the chance of. She's worried about competing again, the population is worried about feeding themselves, buying fuel, training around career/family responsibility. At the end of the day, when the racing starts, there won't be an extra prize for athletes from injury, it's not a superhuman feet of endurance it's life, its human survival which people do daily. It's a tragic crash, but kona doesn't have medals for Oscar performances. On the start line, excuses/tragedies can't be counted or deflect the hard work that all the athletes have put in, crash or no crash. I'm not sure the idea of Finding perspective in life or about life has been grasped here.

At the risk of being flamed, keep the whinging etc, ban tri bars. It is well enough for closed courses, but athletes must train on open roads. Staring at a line 1m ahead is nfg. The rider must be aware of traffic. And, steering response is compromised while in the armrests. And, the hands must be repositioned to use the brakes Nuts. Tri has grown to a big league level in a few short years. The leadership is not on the ball.

Kathy, great video, but its so elementary how you say you don't understand or how it don't make "LOGICAL" sense how you survived this horrific accident? First, given Big Props to ER Provider Gibbons, who assessed you head to toe and treated appropriately with her ER Team! But simply Kathy, there is no LOGICAL sense needed, simply, GOD's angles were with you on that tragic moment, and protected you! Its that simple and logical.
