You have such an amazing way of explaining all of this. My brain needs simplicity after so much chaos.......

It’s stressful not to worry about worrying knowing it contributes to more sensations.

True, it becomes a catch 22 as self can't get out of self. I find it helps to break the cycle through acceptance of grief and to read daily passages of scripture.

Yes, I find this too.

Thank you so much. This is a great explanation. I'm trying my best to learn about Somatic Symptom Disorder as I was recently diagnosed with it. I went through a really rough time thinking I had a serious illness with many tests (thank goodness) disproving my worries. It was / is just a long road. I had never heard of this disorder before.

Hi I just listened to a clip where you talk about "make a decision if it is mind or body symptom". Togheter with this one I have come to the understanding that: If I get a new striking symptom of that kind you always check up (heart, blond cloth clear physical in some way..) it is not really a problem to check it up, it is the status of my innerbeing when I do it that I need to have focus on, and how I respond to my situation, feelings, thoughts etc?.. Symptomps never really have anything to do with the job Im doing i guess, it is my relationship to my body, mind, feelings, life situations etc that is what it is all about? Thank you for good clear motivation clips👍

Jim, your videos are so helpful! Thank you for making the world a better place!! This is probably a dumb question but, what if you worry and have fears but they ARE based on a real threat ( ie. cancer diagnosis, medical procedures, job loss, divorce etc) Hiw do you respond? I’m meditating, positive self talk, visualizing, yoga, journaling…. How do you find emotional peace when real threats are out there? Thank you!!

Thank you for this video. I'm always confused about how to react to anxiety or worry as I hear many different things. Is it better to just acknowledge and sit with it, or interrupt and rewire it (like some brain retraining programs recommend) or try to relax using various somatic techniques (but then, some say that's like trying to fix an issue that doesn't exist per se, so it's like sending the brain a confirmation message of perceived danger)? I don't know if I'm being clear 😅. Anyway... What's the best way to react (or not react)?

Hi Jim do you have a video on dizziness caused by anxiety that causes pppd and how when your dizzy all day how can you ignore it This has been going on and on for yrs all day Yes it is danger and fearful to me Thank you
@DanisJourneyToWhere10 күн бұрын
@dianedrummond2624 I was sad to read this. I can relate to this feeling. Not as long as you though but there was a time during this year I kept on feeling dizzy all day and dissociated due to my mind being overwhelmed with fear / negative thinking about my health. I truly hope you get whatever support you can in making this dizziness go away! It's just so awful!

Hi Jim. Have you worked with any men with CPPS pelvic and genital pains?

What if you just feel anxiety about your symtoms, and how they will develop or change in the future. For 4-5 years it has only been going worse and worse with the pain. The only way my brain knows is down or to get worse. I can do somatic tracking and feel calm for a while, but when i move on with the life, it will always Come back.. the pain.. and if i worry about it, or anything Else for too long, i will have the classic anxiety Signs. Heart spasm, numbness, high pulse, etc. You know.. expecially if i worry about death and being sick.. thats the "best" trigger. But should you just use graded exposure for what do worry about og feel anxiety about. And what if the anxiety is about your pain. (It feels like a loop)
