The Reyne and Tarbeck rebellion would mark the end of the downfall of house lannister, as Tywin would restore the house back to it's rightful. His actions would make him one of the most feared but respected men in the seven kingdoms, destroying the Reynes Of Castamere root and steam along with there tarbeck kin. Bit it is not why Tywin did this that makes these events legendary, but the brutal and total mannar he destroyed them.
The Dance Of The Dragons will be the focus of the plot of the new HBO spin-off House Of The Dragon coming in 2022. So if you want to learn the story before we see HBO's take on it then this will be a very long-running series. Game Of Thrones / House of the dragon are HBO shows based on Geroge R R Martins A Song Of Ice And Fire series. The information in this video comes from the books a world of ice and fire as well as fire and blood.

Even though I think House Reyne was a pretty important house and would LOVE to have seen Castamere in its heyday, Tywin spared house Lannister possible future rebellion both by houses Reyne and Tarbeck. I think if they had still existed today it would've been Reyne and Tarbeck men who would have delivered the West to Robb with the possible promise of a marriage alliance between the red lions and the wolves.

Definitely. They would have used the war of five kings as a way to grab power in the west and deliver the west to rob. i think if that had happened we'd have seen westeros begin to breakdown into 3 or 4 smaller kingdoms again.

That would have been very interesting. In my opinion, I think the Reynes would have taken over the westerlands over time and become the new lords paramount if their rebellion against tytos hadn’t failed.

If they're ever making another spin off, the War of Nine Penny Kings would be a good candidate, since characters in it would later appear in the main series.

In terms of atrocities committed by Tywin Lannister, the Rains of Castemere is the most justifiable. It served as a last resort after two houses refused to respect their leige house (even if the liege lord is a joke), there were peaceful options considered originally and it did its purpose as an example of what happens when the Westerlands try to go against the Lannisters as well as showcasing the Golden House has their ruthless reputation once again.

They were respecting their leige house/lord…Tywin wasn’t lord yet, and his dad, the actual lord, was cool with what was going on. Should Rhaenyra and Daemon be able to go out and murder all the Hightowers while Visaerys was still alive because well ya know, future rebellions and all

The price of restoring the Lannister name was paid with the lives of those they themselves gave power to. The irony of Tywin and his clan has always been one of my favourite story arcs.

Didn't Tywin kind of screw over himself in a way by completely annihilating two Western houses like that. Now that's two banner men houses gone he can no longer call upon, soldiers, and resources lost to him and his heirs. I figured he could have at least executed the rebel Lords and installed someone else as Lord of Castamere (perhaps even a lower Lannister cousin could have got the castle much like they did during the War of the Five Kings).

He could have installed one of his brothers as lord of castamere but i think he really wanted to send a message to stop anyone ever thinking of rebelling again. i suspect even though the castles were destroyed the land and resources would have been handed out to loyal Lords. That way Tywin could still call the Levies from those land if needed and use their resources. However they did lose the large wealth of house reyne, if they had captured the Reynes treasury and mine just imagine how wealthy the lannisters would have been, even more so than they already were.

House Spicer was given castamere , by tytos only who were just rich merchant and his wife was the one who told cersie about her future when she was younger (probably in slum of lannisport , before her marriage to house Spicer)

@@shinjansaha240 The Spicers only got Castamere after the War of Five Kings for their participation in the Red Wedding. I wonder how they're gonna restore that sunken castle.

@Lord Cregan Stark I also agree. The Reynes and Tarbecks were always going to be a problem even if Tytos died and Tywin became Lord of the Westerlands early. They had no respect for their overlords or even the Iron Throne so imo they forfeited their nobility.

@@nunyabiznes33 I'd start by hiring miners to reopen the mines and trying to unflood them. If they're able to do that(and remove the skeletons) they should have access to the Reynes gold and silver. Next hire some guards to protect your new cash flow. After the hiring the guards I'd see if Tywin would allow me to build a modest village or even a city to help generate more cash(I doubt he'd allow this as it might in the future take commerce away from Lannisport). Finally try to rebuild the keep or invest in a new one, get a maester to educate my heirs, don't make too many waves, and plot for the future. I doubt any of this would go smoothly. The Spicer are a house that help participate in the Red Wedding and they're upjump merchants. I'm pretty sure the western nobility is going to hate them.

You know, I do wonder what Tytos thought of the rebellion (as well as his sons actions to "stop" the rebellion) As well as me thinking perhaps some there were survivors, mabey if a cousin DIDNT wear his family banner in the battle (or if another great western house had reyne or tarback blood)

would not surprise me if there was still someone out there. There is a fan theory that Bronn was a descendant of a Castamere but there is very little proof at all for it.

@@WorldOfWesteros houses reyne & tarback are like house Lannister. They're ONE of the oldest houses, to me they would have done a shit ton of marriage to other great houses through the centuries

Lord Tytos was weak. He seems the sort that hated any and all conflict, so he most likely feared the Reynes and probably even feared his own son after the rebellion was put down.

I find it interesting that this isn't considered Tywin's moral event horizon but what happened to Tysha is, despite far more people and innocents dying. It's not like the fans are subjected to Westeros' fucked up moral system

I think it should be noted they have a bit of a "history" of rebelling(I heard that some ancestors joined with a previous blackfyre rebellion) I'm sorry but one of your last videos said one of the fist Lannisters married a Reyne, but no children came(in other words no "blood of 2 lions" as I say) so what was the point of the marriage & what if there had been future children and heirs & heiress (in other words would there be a rebellion if there had been "blood of the Lannisters & Reynes lions" either then or now?) This was a mouthful

I think there was always intent for children in any marriage. They could have just been unlucky, or maybe there was something nefarious at work. If there had been children and there bloodlines merged i still think rebellion would have been possible later down the line. Give it a couple of generations at the Reyne blood in the Lannister line would be rather irrelevant unless the two house kept marrying. Think like the Targaryens and Velaryon. Regardless of blood a think what happened with Tywin and the Reynes was more to do with the disputes of that generation than the historical issues they had. The Reynes of Tywin's generations were ambitious, especially Ellyn. So even if there was more blood tying the house together, i don't think it would have stopped individual ambitions

@@WorldOfWesteros another thing I forgot was.....lady Elen Reyne was ONE HELL of an ambitious woman, she practically threw herself at not one, not two, but 3 Lannisters. and upon "advancing'' on Tywins own father that she paid the price(....marrying a Tarback that is)

I believe they technically own, but haven't actually done anything with it as of yet, i guess because it would be such a huge and costly undertaking. I assume it's a bit like the Harrenhal situation, Janos Slynt was granted it but never as far i know had the chance to go there, same with Littlefinger

I believe that the Reynes were still drawing gold from their mines during the Dance of Dragons, and thus had no reason to rebel against the Lannisters.
