I don't always hear about the crimes that happened in South Africa on KZfaq, and when I do, the people usually butcher the names of the towns or the Afrikaans (my first language that's almost similar to Dutch) surnames. You've done none of the sort and I thank you. If you want you can do a video on the first serial killer we had in the 90's. He killed I think almost 50 woman. A friend of mine was the only survivor. Great job BC. 💐

@@stewartwilson7669 Wrong! We used to be able to leave our doors unlocked. If you heard someone in the house you knew it was a friendly neighbor who had wandered in. We knew nothing about energy shortages. We got up in the morning and turned every damn light in the house on. Sewing room, both bathrooms, even though nobody ever went into the guest bathroom. You sure didn't need to worry about your Halloween candy..and the kids disappeared from lunch to dinner, no worries.

Figured that out after the second husband. The woman who the modern media dubbed the black widow and made the term so popular was from Pensacola Fl. Most people think she was from California or Hawaii, but she killed her first husband in Pensacola Fl., and the woman who caused toxicology tests to become more intensive was from south Fl. She used a poison so unknown that it ten years to catch her. The coroner who finally caght her had to invent a toxicology test to even find it in a body. She made the same mistake as the woman in the video, she kept killing people. The lesson to be learned is be careful about marrying women from Fl.

I wasn’t expecting her to be executed so quickly…I guess it’s because I’m so used to the longer process we have now. And as to why she killed her son…She’d done it before, gotten away with it and was “rewarded” for it via inheritances. So why wouldn’t she think it would go her way again? Maybe she was tired of having to take care of him if what the sister said was true. So getting rid of him, getting money and not having to give him his inheritance might have been too good to resist.

I don't think she'd have killed her son at age 21 when he would have been self sufficient, earning wages and bringing that money home every week to his mother. It doesn't sit right with me. If her son was a burden she'd have done away with years earlier when he was a child. He was an asset alive. She inherited 100 pounds. Realistically speaking, was that motive to kill her son. Personally I don't think so. Alas we will never know

I've read about this case before, but this was the first time I saw a photo of Rhodes or most of these photos of Daisy. I'm not terribly surprised that her last husband believed so firmly in her innocence. We've seen that before, haven't we? People see and believe what they want, regardless of the truth.

Back in those days, they used arsenic to help embalm the bodies, so, of course, her son is going to have it in his system. As for the husbands, who were plumbers, strychnine was used to clean and treat the plumbing -- if I'm not mistaken.

I grew up with another story of Daisy , my grandma told me she killed men that harmed children, wife beaters, they just disappeared and that she worked in a maturnity ward, they told us that her gost is still hitchicking infront of the hospital. Be blessed.

My grandmother lived in an apartment building in Boston and heard the husband beating his wife next door. Grandma broke the door down and hit the man over the head with a bottle, knocking him unconscious. She sat there and waited for the cops. The cops (nice, Irish Catholic cops) showed and listened to her story and said it was fine. They left the guy on the floor, still unconscious. That's justice.

@@SuperBenette I read this comment on YT a long time ago where a guy who worked in a nursing home for old people said they confessed terrible things to him. Like, they knew they were old and nothing could happen now. One woman confessed to killing three husbands.
@SuperBenette
@SuperBenette 2 жыл бұрын
@@cocoaddams4502 Yes I know that old people confess to killing people in their days , there was a man who was very goddly, went to the church every week, helped everyone and ill animals , he never married, on his deathbed he confessed that he protected many people from evil persons, he didnt feel guilty, infact he was proud of it, he said he killed the demons in our town, he allso lived in Germiston in South-Africa. They could not link any killings to him so they just wrote it off as a senile man talking rubbish. My grandma just laughed and said that man would rather die than tell a lie. Germiston is known for its strange things that happened, The strangest thing was when children were harmed in some families and it was in the news,there would soon be a article of who harmed them and that ,that person died a myterious death, I think thats why they started making up fantasy stories about who killed them. It was times when a lot of women had children from brittish soldiers that left them with a child to take care off, they were forced to get married, and offcause everyone can imagine how that women and child would be treated, it was rough times and for women it was very tough to protect their chilldren, they also forget the historical background surrounding those times. Be blessed.

Another remarkable feature of this case was the apparent sloppiness and negligence of the autopsies performed on these victims the first time around. The death of a healthy young man like Rhodes Cecil was inherently suspicious, yet the first pathologist totally overlooked the presence of arsenic. Did he do no toxicology tests at all? Likewise, the presence of strychnine in the body of William Cowle was overlooked by the acting district surgeon, Dr. Fergus, even though strychnine poisoning was suspected even before the autopsy was performed. With slip-ups like these, no wonder people were getting away with murder!
