In today’s episode, Becket talks a look at the 1989 gay activist book, “After the Ball: How America Will Conquer Its Fear & Hatred of Gays in the 90s.” In this book, Harvard grads, Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen, propose many strategies on how to normalize homosexual behavior in America. These strategies have been very effective. You will be surprised at how cunning and intentional these guys were in advancing their cause. All of their secret plans have come to pass in today’s culture. They knew what they were doing and did it well.

ABOUT BECKET:
Becket Cook was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He attended Jesuit College Preparatory
School of Dallas. After graduating from Austin College in Texas, Becket moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of writing and acting, finding success in both. He eventually went on to become a production designer working with the top photographers and directors in the world on fashion shoots for magazines such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and for ad campaigns such as Gap, L'Oréal Paris, and Nike.
Finding a new sense of freedom in L.A., Becket also fully engaged in his new life as a gay man. He had a series of many relationships with men throughout the next fifteen years.
In September of 2009, Becket met a stranger at a coffee shop in Silver Lake who invited him to his church in Hollywood called Reality L.A. Becket reluctantly agreed to attend the service. After hearing the sermon that Sunday, Becket was utterly transformed by the gospel and gave his life to Christ. He also knew on that day when God revealed Himself to him that homosexuality was a sin and that he could no longer live that life. Becket was more than happy to count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus his Lord.
Becket spends much of his time in ministry speaking at churches, universities, and conferences helping believers (and non-believers) understand this issue biblically, theologically, culturally, and personally. Balancing grace and truth when teaching on this subject is of primary importance. His goal is to challenge the current cultural narrative about sexuality in general and homosexuality in particular by demonstrating through his personal testimony and biblical truths that, yes, homosexuality is still a sin, and that following Christ is infinitely more satisfying and joyous.
He has lived all over the world in major cities such as Rome, Vienna, and Tokyo.
Becket graduated from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University in 2017 with a Master of Arts in Theology.
Becket’s book, A Change of Affection: A Gay Man’s Incredible Story of Redemption, with a
foreword by Francis Chan, published by Thomas Nelson, released July 30, 2019.

I first went to a gay bar in 1977. I was a 17 year old high school student. I love music and remember dancing to the disco sound of the day. It was one of the best nights I have ever had. Today I'm 62 years old and i no longer label myself as gay. To cut a long story short i have turned my life over to the lord. I led a unhealthy gay lifestyle for years. Cruising bars drinking having sexual encounters with other men in sex venues etc. I never met and had any meaningful relationship with another man. It all was so damaging and shallow. I have repented im celibate and sober and clean. I love life now and respect myself. I live here in new zealand and follow your postings. It helps to reinforce my faith.

Yes it is a sin. The creator made sex to bring about children. Its an abuse to have sex that can't lead to new life. In a way the rampant use of contraceptives have led to this confusion.

@@MrPeach1 with all due respect, this isn’t true. By your statement that would mean infertile married couples are sinning. Contraceptives are also not a sin between married couples. Bad theology hurts people. God made sex for a husband and wife to be intimate and enjoy each other, regardless of if a child is produced as a result.

When I first learned about homosexuality as a young girl in the 1960's I remember thinking of it as an almost personal rejection. How and why would a man prefer another man over a woman, who was supposed to be his partner? There wasn't any hatred, fear, or religious bigotry involved, it was just a girl's gut reaction. And after all these years of social coercion, I still feel that way.

Thank you so much for this Becket. In 2021, my small hometown of Albany, Western Australia, pretty much the most isolated city in the world, had its first drag queen story time at the public library. This agenda has reached everywhere. Not one church in my hometown stood up to the event publicly. There was one man with the guts to stand outside and protest with a sign. Guess what? He had lived as a transgender woman for 20 years and came out of that lifestyle. Only someone who has been in it seems to be able to see the danger and do something.

Becket's thinking, reasoning, is compelling. I'd never thought of it as one's 'cross to bear', as sin one must resist, but (paraphrasing what I've heard Becket say, and hopefully accurately) we wouldn't say to a chronic thief (only for example) "We love you just as you are! As a former LGBTQ Ally as a Christian this is extremely helpful. I attended for a year Founders Metropolitan Community Church, the first LGBTQ Church in Los Angeles. I was there when SS couples could marry. I wanted to believe that the SS couples were faithful to one another and marriage would be good although I found out the Pastor did have a open marriage with his husband and now they are divorced. It amazes me to hear the manifesto lived out before our eyes within the next 30+ years and the authors admit to the manipulation to get people to accept homosexuality as normal and that your born that way.

Hi Becket thanks for the video today. I had an experience many years ago about abortion. I was in a women s group with mostly very feminist type women. The subject of abortion came up and I am anti abortion and had friends also the same because we believe God created each life. i did not say too much but at one point I said to the ladies you have a right to your opinion of believing in abortion but others have a right to their opinion that they don't accept abortion. That unleashed a tirade against me and they began to accuse me of wanting women to go to illegal places to get abortions. It was a really awful experience but I realized they were not willing to accept my beliefs even though they expected me to listen to their beliefs.

We expect women to use good judgment w their bodies and protect themselves from pregnancy. What I don’t get is a condom will be used to keep STD’s away so why not pregnancy??? Women are arguing for some “right” that was more of a risk pre-Aids. What has happened to womens brains??? How much risky behavior are women willing to do? When you get jumped on from pro-choicers they never want to discuss (nor know any apparently) the women who have had an abortion and regret it and are trying to forgive themselves or make up for it by adopting. I have so much love for you brother in Christ!! Keep speaking truth Becket! My husband is an LCMS Lutheran pastor and is one who is faithful and not afraid to speak the truth behind the pulpit or anywhere. Over the years he has spoken about the intentional attempt to persuade people in and out of the church to accept homosexuality so this podcast affirmed all of his ideas. I think this book can be a powerful tool, for one to wake up those who claim to be believers but who affirm this gay lifestyle and realize they have been manipulated, and also to show the lack of confidence in this acceptance happening naturally over time. It had to happen with intentional manipulation of emotions, money, deceit, craftiness, and other various tools that the devil who is “The Father of Lies” loves tp use! It’s kind of amazing to me that it’s in black and white in this book and that it ironically serves as evidence to this crime so to speak. Thank you dear Becket for all that Christ is doing through you!!💯✝️❤️

Keep praying and loving her. I wasn’t gay, but I was a prodigal and my parents threatened to disown me. They took my choices personally - as a rejection of them and their choices. We were estranged for years (made peace later). But I think I would have made better decisions if they had just prayed and reinforced their love for me instead. Some version of: “We hate this and think you’re headed for great pain. We can’t support you in it and if there are consequences, you’ll have to deal with them. 💔😞 But know that we love you and always will.” Anyway, I hope your daughter’s journey down this road is short and that she returns to your - and God’s - loving arms ❤️❤️❤️

@@allthatisgay4059 Jesus never said “come as you are.” The concept is there in that he always invited people to come to him immediately. However in every example, he called them to drop everything from their old life - their riches, their family, everything and not look back. That concept is also in the Old Testament with the Israelites wanting to go back to Egypt and Lot’s wife looking back at the destruction of Sodom. We are to willingly follow him, not looking back to our old life. I have had many gay friends in my life so have nothing but love. I can’t imagine how hard it would be to change that. Maybe you’re right that it is a life long struggle. For some it is not. However the same can be said for MANY things of the flesh. Sexual sins of every kind. Alcoholism. Also things like anger and more. Taming the flesh is a process. What seems impossible at the beginning can become easier. Far be it from anyone to know the changes possible for another. Christ certainly invites us to come as we are but he clearly states we are not to stay that way. Fortunately he is also patient with us.

Thanks for taking the time to talk about this nefarious book and its authors, Becket. I am surprised that more Christians and conservatives aren’t more aware of it, or at the very least, haven’t really expounded on it. I’ve heard a few Christians, such as Voddie Baucham, mention it in passing, but finding any thorough analysis of the book online is rare. I think that most conservatives and Christians whose eyes are open to the unequivocal fact that there is a concerted gay agenda (Madsen and Kirk literally wrote an essay entitled, “The Gay Agenda” in the magazine, Christopher Street, no less), would have a difficult time explaining how said agenda has been carried out, but if they were privy to this book and the strategies laid out by its authors, that would help to connect the dots and assist them in elucidating how this movement has gained so much ground in such a short period of time, basically capturing the hearts and minds of the laity, who will accept anything that is incessantly foisted upon them, out of hand. Speaking of Matt Walsh and his recent documentary, it would be great if he made another one, particularly about the gay agenda and how this book was/is integral to the objective of LGBT activists to change public perception on this issue. This book needs to be exposed to a larger audience, which Matt has the ability to do. Thanks again, Becket, for your audacity to talk about this highly contentious issue, and for your unwavering commitment to the truth, despite the backlash that we as conservatives and Christians face for dissenting from the pervasive acceptance and affirmation of this form of sexual behaviour. I hope that you’re well, brother. God bless you.

A lot of things felt unnatural and wrong just a few decades ago. Black people being first in line...not being pressured into marrying being normalized... It's not because it's "wrong", but because it effected your personal beliefs and it felt like it invalidated them. It was mostly a projection. In reality, it's none of our business. It's their decision to love themselves as consenting adults. We aren't in the dark ages anymore.

Your closing comments are full of love and insight and sensitivity. ( as to the comment you made about the 50s year old southern lady, I can relate. I'm in my fifties also and live in Texas. Sadly, through the recent years I've noticed in the Christian community at large that I enjoy Fellowship with, a more increasing number of them see nothing wrong with "alternative lifestyles " and far progressive positions in society hot button issues. Many of whom are my generation. I'm saddened by this. I think this griefs God. I personally think this shift in the Christian culture of thinking is because,..., commonly Christians have been consuming so much of popular secular media and taking in a large dose of secularism for a long period of time. There has been a type of "brainwashing " that has cemented. God Word tells us to not be conformed to the world, but to put on His Word for the renewing of our minds. For carnal reasons, Christians have embraced the world's messages. *CHRISTIANS, PLEASE Stay in the WORD and DON'T CONSUME what THE WORLD IS TEACHING.

A few years ago I took this book out of the library to show the Sunday School class at my church how the LGBTQ agenda was being indoctrinated in the U.S. As a Christian, I was told many times in the past that I was paranoid about their lifestyle or homophobic because I said the Bible calls what they do a sexual sin (Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9) and that I was imposing my faith on them. Yet they had a strategic plan to impose their lifestyle and worldview on the world at large, but the powers that be behind it lied and said they weren't trying to indoctrinate anyone. Not one person in the Sunday School class ever heard of this book. And yet the game plan of this book has succeeded.

@Preston Swan Then by your logic, then you declaring it not wrong because you say so shouldn't be valid as well. And the word arbitrarily is defined as "on the basis of random choice or personal whim, rather than any reason or system." But this moral standard I'm talking about isn't based on my personal whim; it is based on a standard; God's Word, the Bible, which is God-breathed, sufficient, and truth (2 Timothy 3:16-17, John 17:17). God is the Creator of all things (Genesis 1:1, Colossians 1:15-17), as well as lawgiver, judge, and king (Isaiah 33:22); therefore He sets the standard of right and wrong, not us. And though you may not agree with this standard or believe in it, your disagreement or unbelief doesn't validate the truth. People have freedom to try to do what they want, but that doesn't mean doing what you want doesn't harm others because you don't think so. You do hurt others when you force your morals on others through laws, intimidation, and indoctrination, which is what the LGBTQ advocates do. And once you do this, you get men going into women's bathrooms, drag queens telling stories to six years old, people losing their jobs if they don't agree with your lifestyle, changing marriage laws, etc. To say this lifestyle doesn't hurt anyone or effect anyone is illogical and untrue. And finally, if you want to discard and disagree with God's standard, then you have to come up with your own, which is always subjective. And this means what is right today will be wrong tomorrow and vice versa. There is no absolute standard and people will do whatever makes them happy regardless if it effects others. That is what happens in a society which has chaos, lawlessness, and sexual immorality. The last verse in the book of Judges describes it this way, "...every man did that which was right in his own eyes." (Judges 21:25) If you try to redefine, ignore, and defy God's standard, then you essentially say evil is good and good is evil (kinda like telling people they can change their gender when it's impossible to do so), which is exactly what Isaiah 5:20-21 says.

In college, a professor explained to us that in the case of propaganda, the idea of jamming means to so fill up the social airwaves or means of distributing information with the desired viewpoint that there is basically no room for another viewpoint to be given serious time for consideration. And that it carries the idea of repeating an idea relentlessly: You jam the idea into your audience again and again and again. It would seem the authors of the book are using “jamming” with these definitions in mind.

I worked for the ELCA back in the 2000’s. I remember sitting at a church-wide assembly in Chicago when they were talking about the Human Sexuality Study they were undertaking; this was prior to the 2008 vote to affirm gay ordination, relationships, etc. A lot of people in attendance applauded the undertaking of that study. The table talk amongst my peers was one of optimism that the church would soften its view on homosexuality. I considered myself a Christian at the time. I went to church on Sunday and that was where my faith sat. I didn’t read the Bible everyday; didn’t have strong opinions on the issue, mainly thinking this doesn’t sound right that a pastor could be gay and in a same sex relationship. I didn’t hate gays or that lifestyle and wrestled with what is the loving thing to do. How do you show care and compassion to someone you might not agree with. Did I need to affirm this groups lifestyle? That middle category that was being targeted the most is where I comfortably sat. The road was wide and my cares were easy as a moderate. I didn’t have strong opinions on abortion, gay marriage, sin, redemption, etc. and that was a problem. I started reading the Bible regularly in 2011. God used some major struggles in my life to challenge me and help bring me close; to get to know Him better. I believe that is the major problem with a lot of Christians today, they haven’t read the Bible cover to cover and their Christianity is relegated to Sunday’s service. They don’t understand the weight of sin; their sin, our collective sin and it’s effect on the World. Once I started digging in to the word I saw that God values all lives; mine, the unborn, the elderly, the poor, the rich, everyone, every sinner. We are all sinners. We all struggle because of the fallen world we live in. My sexual sin (as a straight man), lust-filled mind, my prideful heart needed saving just like everyone else’s, whatever their circumstance. His Word is final and right on these things. We have all been judged and need a savior. We can’t change His Word or heart to justify ourselves. None of us. Becket, thank you for sharing this important information and your testimony with so many souls. I pray God’s hand will be on you, to keep you safe and His redemptive story of salvation will reach many people through this ministry.

Thank you for your ministry. My nephew has "married" his partner and has even changed his last name to his. I am buying your book to send to him and his "husband". I am praying that both of them will turn to the Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness and salvation.

My niece's young son, in his 20's, came out gay but last November was found shot and murdered in a field. To this day they have not found the killer. We were all shocked to know he was gay and had died so young!

I want to thank you. My small town community had their first “pride event” with a drag show on our town square. 18 Pastors in the area wrote a letter to the mayor and city counsel to express their concerns -particularly about a drag Queen show on the same poster as “face painting” obviously targeting children. The letter was misrepresented by the media of course but I’m still so glad they stood up. The event was sponsored by a church. There are young people I work with who had transitioned or are considering it and found out recently my cousins daughter just underwent a series of surgeries-phalioplasty, double mastectomy and who knows what else. This all seemed so suddenly overwhelmingly pervasive. So discouraging and hopeless-but the other day I found your channel and your interview with the college professor. And today I listened to this, and another of your shows, and I read the comments here and so many people have been saved out of this, just like every other sin - we all were saved out of something. You and the people commenting here were such a breath of fresh air and an encouragement. Id like to encourage people - all believers, not just Pastors-don’t shrink away from this issue. We’re all called to be a witness, to be salt and light to an ever darkening world. Let’s gather as many to go with us as we can, time is short-you’ve all been such a blessing to me. All these testimonies. Maranatha!!

There is so much for Christians to stand up against in today's culture. My own family has called me a horrible person and a terrible Christian for not accepting the lifestyle of an extended family member who "switched teams". And young people in the church are constantly bombarded with society's lies, which they are more apt to believe.

This was EXCELLENT, Becket! Thank you for your impeccable research and your willingness to tackle these hard subjects. I have many gay friends that I love with all my heart and pray continually for them. And I pray for you and your awesome ministry….. I have two questions that maybe you gonna dress in one of your videos….. 1) did your thinking change the minute you were saved or did it take some time to totally do a “flip” from everything you thought was true. 2) your house pants always look SO GOOD! What’s your secret??? Thanks for all you do…….continue to put our truth. God is using you in a mighty way!

There are times it’s hard for me to talk about the subject of homosexuality because I feel ignorant on the topic. Though I know it’s clear in the scriptures the act of homosexuality is a sin I don’t know how to come down to the level of someone struggling with that specific sin to win them to Christ. It’s hard to address the topic without coming across hateful or condemning. Thank you for making this video and addressing this topic with out coming across that way and expanding my understanding and knowledge! Keep up the good work for the kingdom 👏🏻
