What happened to Cirie at Final 6 always hurts to see and hear about. It's a situation that never should have been possible to occur, and that Probst treats it as this "awesome" moment instead of the absolutely awful one that it is, always leaves a sour taste in my mouth and rubs me the wrong way.

I think a good twist to accommodate this situation would have been Cirie being the new only one safe and all idols and immunity necklace are now null and void and force them to revote, can’t vote for Cirie

The fact that Cirie made it so close to the the end in 3/4 of seasons she's played shows how good of a player she is. She is definitely in my top 5 players of all time. I hate that the game has screwed so many great players over through the overabundance of advantages. The fact that despite not having a single vote against her, she was booted simply because she was the only viable vote is utter BS. I can't wait for the day Survivor experiences a return to form.

Exactly. I hate the excessive idols, advantages and what not. Its not about strategy anymore, luck plays a much bigger role than strategy. An emotional player like Tai wouldn't even go that far if there is no idol. People are afraid to vote for him because they are afraid he has an idol and would screw their plan. I wish Cerie would have won just once.

Wrong. She's not all that great of a player. The only reason she gets as far as she does is because she only becomes a threat just prior to the end game. Once she's within three jury spots of the end game, her dimmer switch breaks and her threat factor rises to blinding white light. Other players have figured out how to work around and through their social threat factor, some of whom even became Sole Survivors. You don't like the excessive idols, advantages, and what not? Welcome to the meta era of Survivor. You conform to this new reality and align yourself with the holders, or you're sunk.

Her fatal mistake was not voting out Brad when they voted Andrea. Other than that, she would’ve made it to Final 4 or possibly Final 3.

I think Cirie's biggest mistake was definitely the vote steal debacle. That cost her Michaela, who she absolutely needed.

@@bigbuffguy9589 Nah it was the Andrea vote off because even after Michaela got voted off, she still didn’t receive votes against her in the Final 6. Even though it was a bad move and losing Michaela hurt her chances more, she could’ve still maneuver the players.

I think it was bad timing, but I don't think it was a fatal mistake. Cirie ended up learning that Andrea wanted to eliminate her instead of going to the end together, and Andrea proved herself to be a bigger threat than Brad, so I can see why she saw she had to strike first. She had won more immunities than him up until she left and was better socially and strategically than he was. There were still opportunities after Andrea left, but they didn't become limited until Sarah flipped.

Cirie was hands down 1 of the best survivor players. Got robbed in micro with the final 2 and then robbed again by advantages out the wazoo in final 6. RIP Cirie and RIP actual good seasons of survivor

what blows my mind is that for a season called "Game Changers" we had no Russel Hanz, Boston Rob, Rubert, Yau-Man, etc.

Boston Rob had stated that at that time, Redemption Island was his last time playing(WaW was too fun of a concept to ignore). Yau - Man probably had age catch up to him a bit Rupert?? probably played too many times and wasn't asked back. Russel. Despite probably being one of the biggest Game Changers, Jeff doesn't like him personally IIRC. TBH, he wouldn't have made it far at all unless he changed his game and would've been booted out early like his last 2 times playing.

Her elimination is one of the hardest things to watch. And it perfectly shows Survivor's broken final 6 design. There can't be 4 immunity idols in final 6, because then there is only one person to be voted out. In my opinion, unless you are medically evacuated or pulled out of the game for different reasons, the only way to be voted out is WHEN PEOPLE WRITE DOWN YOUR NAME ON THAT PAPER AND PUT IT IN THE URN. NO ONE SHOULD BE VOTED OUT, JUST BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE AN IDOL!!! Sorry about that, it's just she doesn't deserve this. It's just... hard to watch. (and just so you know, I would've said it, even if it was someone completely different. It's just bad design from the producers and I hope that someone was fired for it, even if its unlikely.)

I agree that production screwed up here, but Cirie wasn't winning anyway. She can't win challenges, and no one would take to the end of the game after Michaela got voted out. So she goes home at five or four instead of six. And her not having votes against her doesn't really mean anything. They could have done a revote, and she would have gotten voted out unanimously. But since that was the only possible result (since everyone else had immunity), they just saved time.

Cirie is the only player I've ever actually teared up over. Her ponderosa episodes after getting screwed over in Micronesia (final 2 when she was counting on a final 3) are so hard to watch, she is so beyond crushed by that... and then she gets screwed over again in Game Changers. It's heart wrenching.

Cirie is an icon, my favorite contestant, and by far, the one I can truly say was screwed by the actual twists....one....no, three times. (We will exclude HvV, she did that to herself) Thank god I was still watching at season 34. I stopped before 38 (and thank god I did). I whole-heartedly believe that if Danielle DiLorenzo thought differently, she would have won 12, A FINAL 3 in Micronesia, she would have won and in Game Changers, twists and turns can just save everyone now I guess, so she got screwed on that one. I am a HUGE fan of hers. She is one of a few I will always back and if I see hate on her I go full on rage

I love Cirie, but Advantagegeddon or not, she wasn't winning this season. She just gets voted out at final five or four instead. She needed someone who was willing to take her to the end of the game, and after Michaela got voted out, there was no one left who would do that. Her best game is definitely Micronesia, in my opinion, as she actually did get to the end but got screwed by production.

That would be the most frustrating thing. To have everyone be immune and no votes cast, that person should not be able to go home. What a crappy design flaw. It sometimes feels like the game designers underestimate how fast and often the contestants become savvy on how to game the game.

how is it a design flaw? you are mega coping dude Everyone plays the advantage they had, leaving the one person without any immunity to be the one voted out. That's completely fair. If there was a re-vote, Cirie would have been the only valid Name that could be written down. Production can put 2 and 2 together and save everyone time. I'd agree with you if Cirie played an idol as well. What would you do then, draw straws? THAT would have been wonky and unbalanced

Cirie's endgame in Survivor Panama is interesting because out of the final 4 - her, Aras, Danielle, and Terry - she arguably had the best odds of winning, no? If anyone other than Aras won F4 immunity (75%), he gets eliminated and she makes F3. No way Cirie forces a tie to save Aras. Assuming the same F3 challenge- Terry gets screwed over and either Danielle or Cirie win and take each other to F2 where Cirie most llikely wins?

Hot take: I don't really think Cirie has been "robbed." Each of her eliminations have been fair to a certain extent: - Panama: She lost the fire making challenge fair and square - Micronesia: A "surprise" Final Two. With a quit and two medevacs it makes sense that they would have to make some adjustments to the final. In each of the first 15 seasons someone has been voted out on Day 38. Jeff wouldn't give them a "break" on Day 38 - Heroes vs Villains: Someone played an idol and she was voted out. That makes sense - GameChangers: This is the closest I can see to being "robbed." Yes she was "voted out" because everyone had immunity or an advantage except for her...but it's not their fault that she didn't have immunity and they're not gonna not play their advantages so Cirie can win. I'm not happy with how it turned out, but she didn't have something and everyone else did

Not robbed in Panama, HvV or Game Changers. 100% robbed in Micronesia. The surprise final two was unprecedented, completely unexpected and impossible to predict. There are other options for how to deal with too many and/or untimely medevacs/quits. Kaoh Rong did it with the jury vote out twist, and Caramoan did it by just having an extra reward challenge to earn an advantage in the final immunity challenge. I think that production should have done the latter in Micronesia.

@@bigbuffguy9589 Totally agree. Cirie is one of my favorite players, but Micronesia is the only season, even though I respect Parvati, where I thought she legit should've won. Even in Panama her elimination was understandable. Still wish she won, but her exit fits her arc.

Andrea was the biggest threat outside rob in the redemption island season. In caramoan she couldve been but yeah she got voted out too soon and the same happened in game changers. Basically people are so scared of her that they take her out before she becomes full on threat and gets close to winning

Ive always thought why di cirie go home even if she had 0 idol or advantage. If we think about it considering she had 0 votes, there should be no reason as to why sh leaves, yes immunity’s guarantee you safety, but so does a great social and strategic game, which is what Cirie had. If I was production id say all idols n advantages are nullified, the only one safe would be Cirie. Would this be completely fair, no, but it would be fairer as it requires players to go back to the basics of survivor to outwit no out idol hunt. It also would have been historic!

I'd argue the surprise final 2 in Micronesia due to so many medevacs/quits counts as also being robbed. She wasn't in Heroes v. Villains or Exile Island, but she was definitely robbed of her ftc speech in Micronesia

Nope. Cirie was 100% robbed in Micronesia, as she almost certainly wins if she doesn't get screwed by the surprise final two. The only way she doesn't is if she bombs at Final Tribal Council, but given her opponents (Amanda is famously bad at Final Tribal Council, and Parvati isn't much better), that seems very unlikely. I view Cirie as the rightful winner of Micronesia.

Please don't _ever_ tell me she was a robbed goddess. In the seven years since Heroes vs Villains, there has been a significant evolution of and shift in strategy. While she couldn't have prepared for this particular eventuality, she had more than enough time to go through and study how these advantages worked and by what standards they were governed. She also had time to work on her physical game for those times when her position would hinge on her ability to Outplay (which happened on the heels of her Triple Play). As much as I despise this era of idols and advantages and whatnot, those of you that are complaining about them because it was your favorite player now know how I felt all those years. May she get the hint and never ever return.
