The Ultimate Freelance Duck Hunting Boat! What started out as a fun project and a regular 14ft flat bottom john boat quickly became an obsession and a duck-killing machine.
During the 2020-2021 Duck Hunting Season, I took this boat on Resivors, Swamps, Lakes, Ponds, the Gunnison River in CO, the Snake River in Idaho and the Platte River in Nebraska. Every new place called for a new adaptation and it lead to this!
Duck Hunting 101: when it comes to public land duck hunting every tool you have and other hunters don't helps. I cover all this in the video but here is a list of the modifications that went into this....Duck Boat Build Recipe:
Boat Mods:
Beaver Damn Mud Motor, Scissor Blind (boat blind), Dog Ladder, Flat Green Paint Inside, Camo Pattern Outside, Rhino Line Inside, Carpet Benches, Control Panel which controls: LED Lights inside, LED Lightbars on the front, Navigational Lights front and back, Boat Plug, Anchor and Rope, Seat cushions/throw floats.
Trailer Mods:
Lights, Wiring, Safety Chain, Boat Stop, Crank Rope, Spare Tire Rack and Tire, Wheel Jack.

Thanks for the video! I really liked your design and set up! I think I’m going to use a lot of your ideas on my Jon boat. Could you show more details of the dog ramp you made? That’s the best dog ramp I’ve seen thus far

Amazing build! I really like your blind setup i think i would like to do that as well ! Did you just go to the local hardware store or order off of amazon ? Also what did you use for your blue interior lights ? Nilight ? Good luck during your duck season !

i’m gonna try to add a blind to my 16ft boat, what all did you use? just the pins and metal bars?

Really love the boat. I watch Rob Arrington DMFD, and sometimes they use hydraulic mud anchors which work really great at stabilising the boat. They possibly cost megabucks, I don't know, you probably don't need them, just thought I'd say. All the best.
