First one of these I think is about fair. I'd have argued a little more for Champion's League Varane. Aside from that.. Trippier is class, I'd have loved him at United. I highly rate Joelinton, Bruno G and Botman. Pope and Almiron's form has been incredible. Being a United fan, obviously I want us to batter Newcastle.. but I do have a soft spot for them, some cracking games while growing up, and always had a laugh with fans when away at St James. Hope they do well in every way that doesn't involve us losing haha.

Bruno is playing a different role this season hence the change in numbers. He has created 64 chances so far though, which is elite. If utd had a decent finisher in the 9 role his assists would be much higher.

Loved this. It’s always interesting when there are arguments about players etc. but at the same time this was a great wholesome segment. As a Spurs fan but someone who watches both teams as well, I’d be happy with that XI although personally I’m just a fan of a 4-4-2 so would potentially drop Almiron for Eriksen. Again, whilst I also think the whole Newcastle back four have been the best together, I can’t argue with that back four that has been picked either.

I haven't watched much of Newcastle at all this season but how defensive do they play? That many clean sheets is impressive but I expected United to have less if they play more attacking and Newcastle to have more if they sit back. Also better to judge the CB pairings based only on the games Martinez and Varane have played together rather than compare clean sheets generally (for example Varane was injured for a while and Martinez missed games after the WC).
