If the love spell casted by the Travellers on the Doppelgangers (Stefan & Elena) did not exist at the time of their first meeting, would they have had such an attraction to one another?
If Damon hadn’t been so creepy/mean at the beginning of the series would Elena have fallen for Damon instead? I don’t think Elena is solely attracted to Damon for his good looks, it was only when he started to show protective/selfless/selfish feelings for Elena that she began to let herself have feelings for him.
I agree with a lot of you. When the writers made Elena a Vampire, her character became unlikeable.
Even more so this season with the way she couldn’t deal with Damon’s “death” and wiped away his memories in order to cope.
Sometimes we forget that she is still a teenager stuck in a vampire’s body and that her lack of maturity will lead her to make bad/questionable decisions!
