Anyone else miss NC withOUT the skits or extra cast? Just him. He’s so funny and he doesn’t need a cast. Man I haven’t laughed this hard at his reviews in years. I had to go back to remember how good we had it before the demo reel garbage.

Fun fact: The actor for Mr Putman was actually George Lucas's second choice for Luke Skywalker behind Mark Hamill. Imagine how much different his career would have gone if he got that role. Honestly, at first glance, I thought it was Joe Pantoliano.

I find it hilarious that "bad" has gone back to it's original definition so the power glove scene has ended up incredibly dated and is now true, the Power glove is bad.

I remember seeing this in theaters with friends, it was a slog to get through, but then when we saw Super Mario Bros 3 we felt like it paid off. When we left though one of my friends brought up if SMB3 is new how did the girl know about the warp whistle secret. That left us scratching our heads for a few days.

Lucas must be pretty damn good at games if he was able to get the power-glove to work.

Yeah, laugh at Lucas' prowess with the Power Glove all you want, NC. Considering how badly that thing sucked, Lucas' mastery of it IS the stuff of legend. ...Then again, Red Racer was pretty much the only game that seems to WORK with the Power Glove, so... hmm... What was my point again? Can you imagine the strings that would need to be pulled for a major video game like Super Mario Bros 3 to be held in complete secrecy until this movie's release if it were made nowadays?

Only other movie I've seen Luke Edwards in was Little Big League. Which ironically is about a kid who inherited the Minnesota Twins. When I say ironic I mean Luke plays a kid who isn't shy in the least and can really act for a kid. Fun fact both Tobey Maguire and Dante Basco are in this movie. Unfortunately Basco are in deleted scenes. Basco we all know went on to play Rufio in hook and Prince Zuko in Avatar.

I bought this movie on DVD years ago. It was a nostalgia overload broke out my Mario Brothers All-Stars and played for hours. This movie is cheesy but I love it it's a big chunk of my childhood

10:31-Fire Emblem Awakening, Fates, Three Houses and Engage in a nutshell. Especially when you try to romance such jailbait characters like Lissa, Nowi, Sakura, Elise, Nyx, Flayn, Sothis, Lysithea, Petra (15), and 90 percent of the Engage characters who look like children.

This probably sounds weird, but Lucas having all of the games that existed for that system at the time in addition to the various paraphernalia to go with it makes me think his parents bought this stuff to buy his affection because they likely don't spend enough time actually raising him. I've known people who grew up this way and sometimes it can carry over into adulthood. In Lucas' case, it's possible that he may bully others because it's the only way he can get any kind of attention from anyone he can in order to attempt in vain to replace the lack of affection and guidance that his parents don't provide.

Is it weird I consider this movie to be one of my all time favorites? I loved it as a kid and I still do now. Still love this review too, lol.

I actually remember visiting those dinosaurs that were at the end of the movie. They were on the way back from my grandparents house (they lived 16 hours away) and we would go see the dinosaurs every time we visited our grandparents.

Funny he didn't mentioned Rain Man since both movies concern a mentally disabled brothers, yet a savant in a skill. Tom Cruise and Fred Savage played a sane and caring brother while Dustin Hoffman and Luke Edwards played a mentally disabled. Raymond from Rain Man is good with card counting, giving the advantage with blackjack, while Jimmy from the Wizard is very skilled with video gaming. Very coincidental how the two movies played out with similar premises.

I saw this as a kid soon as it was out on Pay Per View (luckily we didn't pay for it we were staying at an uncle's lake cabin and he had a black box that unlocked everything) and just found it depressing. Didn't watch it again until the Rifftrax for it came out, but even with the jokes it was still a little too depressing for me.

Wasn't that power glove from one of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. Freddy was playing a game with it and I also seen it on Regular Show.
