What movie should Disney make next?

There are plenty of pre-woke movies, games, TV shows, etc., to keep us entertained until this new dark age passes.

The scary part is that this is actually what is happening in Disney.

This is not a comedy skit. This is actually how the people at Disney come up with ideas for movies.

I can't imagine how horrible attending those meetings in real life would be.

I don't think its legal for them to have hidden cameras in the Disney writer room. As a person who grew up in LA, I have zero doubt this happens.

They need more of these brainstorming videos. I truly believe this is what happens with the one seasonable guy that gets it but the rest of the group completely ignores all of his or her contributions.

What I want to know is; how did the Babylon Bee sneak their way into a Disney Writer's Room?! Their journalistic skills are beyond compare!

What they need are three wheels to spin for the hero- one for orientation, one for skin color (all except white) and one for what they identify as (two spirit penguin, etc). Then two for the villain, one with every slot that says white, and the other that it all says "cis gender man" or "cis gender woman". They pick a movie, spin the wheels, call it intersectional wheel of fortunes.

I love the part, "Yes! Now we're cooking with zero carbon alternatives”, so as not to offend. Well done!

The sad thing is the Babylon Bee satire is likely the real thing at Disney. The thing about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity. So Disney is insane by definition.

In 2007 Disney and Pixar released a movie in which the Villain owns a company that he didn't help create, and all he does is rehash the existing recipe's from his predecessor. Its like they were telling their own future.

I'm guessing 90% of the story pitches are - Queen Latiffa as Santa, Herbie the Pedo bug, Dragon's Gayer, Tron3 - Non Binary Edition with Elliot Page , Advventures in Babysitting with Jeffrey Jones, Sploosh with Woody Allen, Honey, I Splunked the Kids - Kevin Spacey, Cinderella played by Caitlyn Jenner, Oh God, You Devil - Bill Cosby, Jen Ortega as Hercules, Ann Frank - played by a plucky Lizzo.

Y'all I work in animation at Warner Bros and this had me rolling. For real this is how these types of meetings go.

Disney doesn't use original ideas for a reason. They don't want to kill them. They just want to do that to the stories we already know and love.

The most unrealistic part is someone like Hank ever being hired by Disney.

Last time I went to WDW I got sick. Now I’m sick of Disney. Go Bee.

This was GREAT! Last year I re-watched several of the Disney classics- Pinocchio, Snow White, Cinderella, Bambi and Lady and the Tramp. These films are perfect in every way. Even 50+ years later, the original Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast were on par with those classics. I cannot put into words why they were all so good, but when compared to modern Disney and this need to cater to "modern audiences", there is frankly NO comparison. And I am here to say that "representation" does not matter the way the masses suggest it does. As a little gay kid growing up in the 80s, I never saw "someone like me" represented in a Disney film, or most films for that matter. But that didn't mean I couldn't identify with characters, themes or struggles. It didn't mean that I didn't enjoy re-enacting certain Disney films with my best friend (who was a girl of course!) Despite the lack of "representation", I never felt like I was being shunned or frozen out. But today, the vast majority of leftists will literally boycott movies or other forms of entertainment if they don't see their specific demographic represented in a specific way. That is just insane to me. As an adult, I have since seen tons of movies/TV shows with a variety of LGBT themes/characters and so on. And I really don't identify with any of that, either! I used to get so annoyed in my 20s when people constantly assumed I watched/enjoyed Will and Grace. I never liked the show because I never identified with the characters, and always hated how stereotypical it was. I get that it was a huge success and had some merit- but that didn't mean it was meaningful for me just because I was supposedly "represented". I feel the same way about other LGBT themed films/TV. I find most of then to be pandering and presumptuous. I also hated having to explain to certain friends why I didn't want to watch RuPaul's Drag Race. The little I have seen of that show is like nails on a chalk board to me. And people think there is something wrong with me, or that I have some kind of inner hatred of myself because I am not entertained by it. And this is why modern films are suffering the way they are. It's all about catering to a specific demographic in a specific way and shunning everything else. It's never about universal themes/story, imagination or thoughtfulness.

We all laugh at this satirical comedy but in reality I believe this is what the room actually does.

It crossed my mind a while back that all the influences kids have to "rebel against their parents" seem to usually come from ppl who are at least as old or older than their own parents. It might not be obvious (because those ppl can hire young actors etc) but the ideas etc. all come from some old dudes and dudettes. Could be a basis for a sketch of some sort too.

Maybe Disneyland can give out free Bud light for the parents that have to wait in the very long lines 😉

I only watch old Disney movies from the 90s at the latest. Actually wreckit Ralph was pretty good. The part where he realizes that a true hero is one that sacrifices themself to save many who couldn't gets me every time.
