Mary Poppins ruined the in home nanny industry for all time, setting expectations that any in home nanny with an English accent could a) sing, b) slide upwards on a bannister against the pull of gravity c) knows dick van dyke. Also, the chalk penguins eventually made their way to Madagascar, but that's a different story.

Mi problema con el argumento de "not all men" es que los hombres que salen con eso piensan que se les está llamando la atención a los que "no son parte de problema", cuando en realidad es implícito que se sabe que no son todos los hombres parte del problema; tan sólo se generaliza para evitar perder el tieimpo. Para ponerlo de una manera más sencilla: decir "not all men/men have x problem too" es como si hubiese una protesta en contra del maltrato de los animales marinos en Sea World, y que se meta una persona en la marcha a gritar "¡Pero los animales de áfrica también sufren maltrato por x, y, z!". El hecho de que se discuta un problema no significa que otros no sean relevantes. Otro ejemplo: cuando yo era pequeña, me ponía a llorar cuando la maestra nos regañaba a todos porque hacíamos mucho escándalo. No me gustaba, y no había manera de que eso no me afectara. Hasta que mi mamá un día me pregunto: "¿Acaso tú te la pasas hablando en el salón? No, ¿verdad? Entonces, no dejes que eso te afecte, porque el regaño no es para ti, es sólo para los que hacen escándalo". ¿Entiendes lo que quiero decir con esto? Las mujeres saben que no todos los hombres son malos, sexistas, racistas, etc, tan sólo se generaliza para no perder tiempo y llamar la atención de una manera general.

Is it bad that most of the time i watch these videos because Joanna amuses me? It doesn't even matter if its a rant or a respond. Joanna is awesome. +adrianchivas2014 Depends on what part of Latin America are you thinking. People in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and I think also Venezuela usually look like that. Fun fact: Argentina holds the second place in percentage of blonde population in the Americas. First place is the United States, of course. I think the numbers were pretty similiar around the "blue eyes" factor.

No. No offense, but no. Of course male youtubers also put themselves out there and in the public eye and of course they will also get comments on their looks and they will be judged, but this is not comparable to the situation of female youtubers. men do not get objectified in the way women do in today's society.

00Little00Star00 I'm not denying the existence of discrimination against women, but I believe it to be... hugely overexaggerated. I'm talking about western first-world countries. Men and women are pretty much perfectly equal in front of the law and society in all aspects. You want to see true discrimination? Go to the goddamn middle east; it's hell over there. The "harassment" and "objectifying" that supposedly only women get on modern society is, I dare to say, almost nonexistent. The same applies for female youtubers. The internet is hostile to all creators completely regardless of gender, minus the comments about boobs, of course. But I don't know what I'm trying to prove here.

Joanna, me encantaron tus videos desde el primero que ví. Y me encantó saber que eras una mujer venezolana, haciendo comedia en los yunai. ¡Qué chévere! Pero escogiste estar en el ojo público y no importa si eres mujer u hombre, blanca o negra, alta o baja, siempre habrá trolls que te quieran humillar. Y claro, si eres mujer, ya tienen su colección de insultos. Si fueras china, también. Si fueras marciana, también. Siempre habrá quien te quiera ofender y humillar. Tienes un gran sentido del humor y qué orgullo que haya una mujer latina en Estados Unidos haciendo tan buena comedia. Al bagazo poco caso.
