Hello Bern. I’m also the proud owner of a 2001 Lexus GS 300. What you might want to do to improve acceleration is potentially install a high flow catalytic converter on your car. Flowmaster or Magnaflow would do the trick. It might be a little bit noisy but if you can withstand that, you’ll get the power output you desire.

Nicely done sir and thank you for making miss my GS430 even more now 😆 lol. In terms of the audio def try to keep the mark Levinson sound. I'm sure you can find a replacement Amp on ebay. Also the manual swap look into the sc300 manual transmission and pedals if you gonna go that route keep it in the family. Great video and car looks and sounds great 👍

Nice work bruh.. Love that Blue Taco.. You'll definitely be painting again, so I recommend a spray gun (they got nice cheap one @ Walmart) and a air compressor additionally, invest in a respirator even though your outside. If you using ear protection while sanding you should be protecting those lungs. Nice work thou

Nice intake. Have the same exact brand on my 6 speed manual Acura TL. My brother wound up buying a 2007 Ford Expedition extended version instead of the Lexus 😭 it's a good SUV for what he paid for it though. I'm just scared of the 5.4 spark plugs their known to break while removing them and they need to be replaced. Car looks great for a spray paint job. How much does it cost DIY?

Looks like a fun car man! Looks great in that shade of red (on a budget) with the Yakima roof rack and deflector. A manual swap would be sweet. And the hot air intake sounds great! 🤣 Careful on those twisties!

I have a 2003 Gs300 and I gotta tell you the factory Lexus premium sound system option these cars had is the BEST I have ever heard. I compared it to many modern luxury cars and nothing compares. I go on late night drives sometimes just to listen to the music, I can't even explain. But overall, I think it's because this car is very well built and the speakers have a great sound deadened environment.

picking up a garage kept 2003 gs430 so naturally i’ve watched all your vids on it. that said, i want to get a roof rack to throw my surfboard on top- how did you know the rack would fit? i cant find anything that says it’ll fit. how’d you do it and how do i find one that i know will fit? sick videos! earned a sub fer sure

Just don't over do with subwoofer. I know that feeling strong bass is nice, but it may overwhelm mid's and high's. I love when everything is balanced and you can hear everything not just sub 😀

I have 2002 GS430 and I lowered it with some billstein springs and struts. I no longer have any body roll on the curbs. But it does ride rough on rough roads. It’s no longer a plush ride, it’s more of a sportier mode. I also did the intake and borla exhaust. I have 135k on the car but starts and run like new still.

If I drove normally, my MPG’s would probably be the same. I just now I want to listen to the intake more so the MPG’s are down because of my heavy foot 😂😂. Torque feels the same!

I got a used Aristo strut bar and changed by bottom triangle brace to a newer one and the body roll reduced quite a bit. Also check out ForwardMomentum on KZfaq! He did a manual tranny swap in his GS400 - pretty much same thing and then slapped a super charger on it as well! Your GS color is nice bro!

PlastiDip is an inexpensive way to paint your car without the high cost- and it’s peelable and protects the paint underneath. It’s also fun to experiment with different colors and Pearl coats.

Look into replacing that amp with the same type. Your system is great. Just make sure when you do buy your new head unit , you get the wiring kit for the amp (needs it for the older style). Speakers will need to be low impedance. You can do all this with out going straight for a subwoofer. Sound quality of these systems are close to being unmatched.
