Acrylic Pouring Blooms Technique Inspirational Tutorial Video.

In this video I wanted to create something a bit different with a previous color palette combining a couple different techniques. I hope this video is helpful and inspiring for you and you enjoy watching this half as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Glidden Premium Base 1 Pure White in Satin: Found at Home Depot
Pouring Medium Mix Used:
Base - Valspar Ultra High Gloss Base C: Found at Lowe’s (In Canada it’s called Valspar Hi Gloss Enamel Base C)
Varnish - Varathane Ultimate Polyurethane Water in Crystal Clear Gloss: Found at Home Depot, Menards, Ace Hardware, Walmart, Michaels, Amazon or google it
PM Mixed 3:1 Base/Varnish

Golden Heavy Body Permanent Violet Dark

PM to Paint measurement (ESTIMATE!):
1.5oz (45ml) PM to between 1/4 tsp (1.25ml) to a 1/2 tsp (2.5ml) paint to start (for heavy body paints). If too thin or needs more color add a little more paint (or even a gel gloss), if too thick add a little more PM to thin more.

Absolutely love this, so gorgeous and I like the vertical, wasn’t sure about it until it was dry. The darker blooms stood out more. ❤it!

Jodie, I turned on my phone and said, ahhh no one's posted yet and that very second your video popped up and I was so excited. This painting's colors are delicious. Those purples, you just can't go wrong with purples for a purple girl like you. I like the dark blooms. They give it such drama, depth and mystery. When you show this up close, oh my goodness all the cells that have so many different shapes I just love that. I love the long swirls in white and pink like candy stripes flowing into somewhere unknown is tantalizing. It dried so so pretty and the shimmers really steal the show. I had to keep looking over & over because they are so lovely. I liked the two techniques together it was chaotic like you said. Maybe a little busy but then when you spend time and just spend time looking at everything in all the cells, the shapes, and every individual thing, there is so much to see it's wonderful that way. And you asked about the orientation. I like the 1st verticle one. I liked your horizontal one as well. That's cool because it can be hung different ways to change it up, whatever someone wants depending upon their mood. What a great way to start my day with you and these glorious colors! This project was a huge undertaking, Jodie. I wasn't sure two blooms would sit well with my skewered way of seeing art but with them not being matchy-matchy, it was awesome. Being uneven made it work for me. Very cool. 😎 🤗❤💙💜

I really like the multiple blooms and I look forward to watching your next try using blooms with contrast colors. I agree, the end results is beautiful but having the contrast colors should be very cool too. You always do such beautiful work!

This color pallet with all of the purples in it, is wonderful. Love it, love it. And WOW, did it work out beautifully. The quality of the blooms were beyond expectations. I love that you are letting yourself step out of the box and pushing yourself into trying new things like this and I totally agree with needing 2 different pallettes for this to work I also think it would look cool if you did your transfers in the other direction it's hard to explain my thought on this suggestion but you know the rule of 3 so that center really has to be a huge focal point like it is here if you are going to do 2 blooms but I was thinking like pallet knife transfers criss crossing each other in the center going towards the top and bottom of the canvas in the original orientation but I gotta say the swirl in the center you were able to save is absolutely incredible I love the lacing in the blooms as well it really is a cool piece I can't wait to see you do 2 pallettes with this idea it'll be really awesome! Great work girl 🤗🥰🎨

Well done, amazing creation .. 2nd vertical was lovely as well.. our mind is conditioned with symmetry and centred outcomes, maybe we should break through these conditions and create shapes that doesn’t have to be a bloom or a flower like. (Food for thought) 😊

You are so right about symmetry, with those two blooms I was trying to make them more symmetrical but when then went there one way I realized I liked it more. I also like the idea of blowing to blow it out not necessarily in a bloom shape, this is definitely good for though, thank you so much! 🤗🌺

You never fail to deliver do you kiddo..lol this was amazing absolutely beautiful I love the abstract look that's my favorite.. that would be so cool if you did different colors for background and the blooms.. I like the first orientation the one you like they're both nice but they're vertical one rocks.. always so stunning and as you call it chaotic the more chaotic the more I like it there's so many things in a painting you can see as well..
