That part was crazy. And they didn’t even reveal that they had been swapped the entire time until season 3. It was a crazy reveal.

It turns out that isn't the dragon egg, and instead has a giant chicken that likes to wear human clothing. In a bigger twist, Bait is actually the dragon prince.

I think the reason that the elves are after Ezran is that he's the King's son. Callum's his step-son, which I assume means that he isn't next in line to the throne after his dad. That'll be his little brother.

The amount of detail that goes into the design of the world and the characters is so great. I love how the crown of the king reflects the different sized turrets.

The body swap episode here is a lot less fun than owl house. The king swapping with the head elf assassin makes for a fun twist, with the humans trying to execute him after he just escapes assassination.

the rewatch value for this show is crazy (viren faltering when it comes to sacrificing himself, callum being willing to take ezran's place without hesitation, etc) -- there's already been like 10 things in just the first two episodes that are foreshadowing or are paralleled later.

8:05 I've seen people wonder about this but it sounds like you picked up on it. It's hard to see, but when the curved blades are out we can still see the whites of other blades inside the handle. It looks like Rayla's swords have 2 blades in them.

10:15 I don't know I've never sen a castle actually built on stack like that, feels like whenever the river erodes away the cliff it would cause the walls to collapse too. It's a common fantasy motief but most castles and castle ruins I've seen (and being european I have seen a lot) are simply on hilltops. I mean I know there are cstles like Neuschwanstein that are built like that but they aren't medieval.

It's such a shame that they let Ezran carry the egg all the time. They finally reach the Dragon Queen, only for Ezran to drop it right in front of her, and it smashes on the ground. Stupid jelly tart fingers. Good foreshadowing though. On the upside, the resulting war is really well animated.

I think you would have a lot of fun reacting to Gargoyles (assuming you haven't seen it already.) The prologue is set in medieval Scotland. Scottish and Arthurian history/myth is a big part of the story. Macbeth is even a reoccurring character. I don't know how authentic it is (it's definitely got some bad accents) but it's a good show and there'd probably be a lot for you to appreciate/pick apart.

The weirdest twist is that Rayla, Callum, and Ezren all sprout dragon wings, and they're all the dragon princes together. I have mixed feelings about that twist in the story, but it was original - I'll give them that
