This is a rather unusual story about students conducting demonic rituals.
If you’ve been around the darker parts of the anime internet for a while, you might have heard of this infamous classic
But what you may not have realized, is that the Bible Black was originally adapted off of an visual novel.
So I’m going to dive back into this dated story, to see what it’s really about and see if it deserves its status as a literal cult classic.

The freakest ending for me was the White Room ending. Minase became a school shooter and kills the cult girls out of revenge, then he sent into a ward where Kitami comes to mocks him (in Imari's body) and he goes insane. That stuck with me the most.

The reason why the hentai is so popular I think is because of how good the animation was for its time. IDK if anyone was around back then to remember but things were terrible back in the day, everything felt half baked and almost none of the shit was capable of turning someone on. But bible black was actually quality and still holds up decently well to this day despite its age.

I really like the choices in this game. Characters are continuing pursuing their goals, even when you don't see them or never heard about their plans.

Ah Bible Black, one of the best hentai ever made. It sucks Taki Minase doesn't show up in the sequel other than being briefly mentioned. I had this idea for a third installment where he comes back as the new Principal of the school and it turns out the incubus that was implanted in him never went away and slowly merged with him. Also who shows up is the class president from Origins who masterbated in front of the class as his partner in evil.

I really like the caracter design of Sei Shoujo here and in Discipline, even thought most women look fairly similar. Saeki deserved an ending only for her 😭

Dang that's why some of these H are familiar especially with Sleepless cause it was made by the same author like dang man. At this point can't wait for a general review for this author's work cause if Bible Black makes you question sht Sleepless just makes it a whole lot more wtf with stuff that can trigger a "there's a disturbance in the force" Moment.

I really like Bible Black for what it is. It taught me that even an eroge can have a good story. I remember being genuinely happy in the good ending because I really liked the characters and wanted them to save themselves. I also REALLY like the soundtrack. It has huge 70's progressive rock (more specifically ELP) vibes and I absolutely love that (I really like tracks 9, 13, 15 and 19). Sei Shoujo is a huge progressive rock fan in general, actually. They specifically name their titles after King Crimson (a popular progressive rock band) albums and as a fan of King Crimson, that makes me really happy. Their other VN, Discipline, is pretty good too if you're interested, although it isn't as popular as bible black nor starless. I like the characters more but Bible Black's story is much better. Overall, I really have a soft spot for Sei Shoujo's work and I'd give it a solid 8/10 (and I'd give Discipline a 8/10 too, I'd probably give starless a 6 or 7 though). Anyways, I really enjoyed your review and I wanted to say thank you!

I've read the VN of Bible Black. I quite liked it for some reason. I know it is bad, but I for some reason, loved every minute of it (other than the logic behind the choices leading to certain things as the choices are quite contrived to lead to the routes).
