totally agree with your point, but there is one thing that always bothers me in these situations. my friend told me she and her now-boyfriend was like this for 1 or 2 months before a commitment was made and she told me; she wasn't taking him that much seriously then, since single girls have 10 guys around them most of the time. I think it's ok to try for a while. but know when to quit as well.

bro i should’ve known better. so this girl and i hung out once in early may. we hung out for about 5 hours and we just instantly clicked at least imo. the next day, i then asked if she wanted to hang out again and she was getting dry, claimed she couldn’t bc she was sick which is fine and she was getting dry for a couple of days. a few days later she was finally talking to me a lot again and i was asking if she wanted to hang out again, but she said again “i’m busy with work” which annoyed me and i was thinking of just ghosting her, but i already got attached and decided to keep pushing. stupid of me. luckily i saw on her m story, she was busy that week i asked her again so i fluffed it off. then when next week came and she was more available, i asked her again “hey u want to hang out sometime this week” and she hit me with the “i’ll lyk” crap and i started getting annoyed. i then would see on her story that she’d be out with her friends and sometimes other guys. at that point, i should’ve just cut her off, but like i said, i got too attached to her. weeks kept going by, and we didn’t hang out again, but she’d still text me and even congratulated me when i graduated high school so it was weird. june comes around, it has been a month since we first hung out and still nothing. i stopped asking bc i felt like it was best for her to come to me. on a saturday night tho, she put on her insta notes “i hate u so much” so then i asked “what happened” and she responded with “just things with me and this guy, but it’s whatever” so that gave me mixed feelings. the next day i asked if she wanted to do something and she finally said “yeah i’m down.” i was so happy, i finally get to hang with her again after 34 days lol. we hung out for about an hour and a half and then she flaked on me. claimed her mom needed her home by 8:30 for a family dinner. i won’t lie, i was quite annoyed. not at her, but the fact i just felt like i wasted so much time trying to hang out with her again only for it to be for an hour and a half. luckily she seemed to feel really bad and said “i got nothing going on tmrw so lmk after u work if u wanna do something” so then i did after work say “hey i’m off. u down to do something” only for her to respond with “oh hey sorry i’m really sick rn like i just caught this random flu. i’ve been in bed all day” i knew she was BSing, but i just told her to “feel better.” now one thing she didn’t know is i follow one of her “guy friends” on insta and he posted a pic of her on his story which honestly annoyed me. like idk why she felt the need to lie she could’ve been honest. now the same bs was happening, trying to hang out with her became a chore and then i eventually left town for a vacation. now she texted me saying “have a safe flight, text me when u land” so im overall just very confused on how she really feels about me. while im on vacation, she posts on her private story on snap that she has been very depressed so she’s sorry if people take it the wrong way when she can’t find time for people. i then text her and ask how she’s doing. she says “i’m doing okay.” i then said “okay just know if you need any support, i’ll be here for you” she then said “that means so much. you’re one of the few people that has always been there for me in the short amount of time i’ve known u.” so now i’m feeling good. a few days pass and then i l come back to town and ask if she maybe wants to do something, she then says “yeah yeah sure when r u free?” i was free at that moment so i said “i’m free now for a lil bit” only for her to say “sorry i’m busy with my parents rn” at this point i realize i’m just wasting my time with her so a couple of days pass and we’re not talking, but then i ask “hey r we cool at all?” and she responds with “okay well lowkey u be blowing up my phone ALL THE TIME on every platform. just pipe down a little.” now i realized she finally revealed how she truly felt about me. i then cut her off bc i just felt like i was wasting my time with her. i start to regret it, but i don’t do anything. a month has passed and i still don’t know if i made the right decision, but overall i do feel better. almost like a weight was lifted off my chest

Bro that story you told is very similar to mine situation! Meet a nice girl (she’s Arabic) at first we saw each other and genuinely hanged out for hours but over time I saw her less and less (due to work and how she got promoted awhile back) she is now an assistant manager and when I saw her recently during her lunch she didn’t seem too into our time together even though she made time for me to see her but she was too focused on work and making phone calls to her work during our hangout (which was an hour barely) she says she always thinks about the future and doesn’t think about today... Long story short I she became very occupied to her job and it went from seeing her every few weeks to every 4 to 6 months with just barely like an hour to see each other. I talked to her about it and she said to be patient and eventually we’ll end up together but I still get bother with all the waiting... idk I’ve dealing with this over a year now. A part of me wants to wait but another feels like it’s never go to end this cycle of waiting.
