Today on The Skid Factory, work begins on Dave's 1984 Holden VK Calais.
Our good mate Dave has owned this car for over 10 years and it has undergone countless man hours of work and ticked up plenty of dollarydoos since.
The VK Calais came fitted from the factory with a 308Ci Iron Lion which Dave had rebuilt and turbocharged. That build looked great but didn't work very well.
Dave then fitted a 6.0l Iron block LQ4 and we made up some turbo manifolds to suit his $400 S400 Turbo. Dunning Kruger Az then rewired the car and wired in a Haltech Elite 2500.
We then sent him out into the wild to see how the car would perform.
Dave didn't have much success with the car and wants to go faster so the VK is back at The Skid Factory to ditch the big old S400 in exchange for a pair of fresh GTX3582R Gen 2 turbos supplied by Goleby's Parts.

Please note: We like to make interesting car mods and show you how we've gone about it, but we can't promise that anything we show you will work for your particular car, or that you won't harm yourself, someone else, your car or your warranty doing it. Please be safe, be responsible and unless you know what you're doing, do not fool around with very serious machinery just because you've seen us make it look so easy.
