Belt squats are a great exercise to perform to give your lower back a break but still train your squat. However, the machine to perform them is very expensive and big. I have seen some people try to mimic them however these ways have some HUGE drawbacks. I have come up with a way to perform them that I feel can be done at any gym and it closely mimics a belt squat. So sit back and listen to me on how you can Perform Belt Squats Anywhere whether it is in a home or public gym setting

Tried your version of this today and man I can't thank you enough. It really wasn't hard to get set and the movement is a great variation. I could feel it much more in the quads. Other guys were looking at me with a bit of "squat envy" lol Thanks again dude.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video for us, it's a brilliant idea and suits my set up very well. I've been doing a lot of deficit deadlift and good morning volume on my lower days, so this movement is a very valuable tool for getting some quad/abductor work in when my back is already fatigued.

I tried this for the first time today on my half rack, set up was very simple -just put the bar on the safety bars, same height as bench press.I used a regular powerlifting belt whith a chain hooked on the buckle because that's all i had but it was perfect and felt better than the expensive belt squat machine in my local gym.I'm 6'1 and I felt like the depth was perfect when the plate hit the floor. This really worked out great on the first try, a thousand thank you's.
