Products I would buy or register if I was pregnant right now! What are you registering for? Leave suggestions for other new parents in the comments!
If you use Babylist for your registry you can add items from small businesses like Very Good Mothers Club :) Craigslist and Offer Up are great places to get big more pricey items secondhand.
For some of these more expensive items I would buy them second hand, register for them, or buy new and keep them in good condition so I could sell them again afterwards!

Oh my gosh wow thank you for the encouragement seriously! Haha today I have been talking to my husband about whether or not i need to pursue something else because growing a channel doesn’t always feel productive- I put in quite a lot of time and effort into this and it doesn’t always equate to much. The sound machine is my number one must have! I also love a baby monitor where you can see and hear baby. It helps so much with mom anxiety while baby is sleeping.

Thank you ❤️ We have always had our needs met. We have very generous people in our lives so many times when we have needed support somebody amazing has been there to share resources or help. Once our car stopped working and a friend just gave us her old car! It was unbelievable. So while we have not always had finances, we have always had our needs met in “rich” ways. And now I am working to build a better income for us so that’s the journey. I appreciate you Grace! Thanks for watching! ❤️

Babies are silly and they are sometimes so picky! I’d suggest getting the absolute minimum and I love your suggestion of adjusting as you go. My “must haves” were a convertible carseat, moby wrap, 3 knotted gowns, 1 footie pjs, 1 stretchy swaddle, muslin burp cloths (he was colicky), diapers, and a rug to lay him down on the floor. Literally nothing else. All the baby gear that was a must for other people didn’t work for our baby! ( I’m even talking bottles, pacifiers, carriers, strollers, cribs, sleep sacks, bouncers, swings, baths…….) we were lovingly gifted lots of these, but none of those things worked for him. Having all the “stuff” and trying to make it work with my baby stressed me out more! Stick with the least amount of things as possible.

The hospital gives the best pacifiers , just ask for xtra boom saves a mom money ..

Can you do a video on the “don’t make kids hug grandparents” thing that’s all over social media? Is there validity to the idea that it prevents abuse? Or does it prevent learning social skills?

It’s not child abuse .. if people think it is then they have no clue what actual abuse is ..

Idk what this trend is but it sounds like people not caring about a middle ground. To force a kid to hug someone while they're screaming and crying is excessive, and to tell a kid not to hug grandparents is also excessive. Exercise common sense. If the kid is uncomfortable hugging someone or shy, don't press it but maybe have grandma and grandpa enforce that they love them so the kid knows they're safe people. Then maybe next time the kid will be OK with hugging. I would say if it's extended family that's a bit different because if abuse does occur it's much more likely to be cousins/uncles/aunts/etc. Than it is to be grandparents.

Hi Serena! Thank you so much! Great question! Yes we ended up switching our our stroller and car seat after having our first baby because we bought really cheap ones and then realized they were not comfortable to use so we sold them and invested in nicer ones (bought second hand). For our first baby we had a Diaper Genie but didn’t end up caring about it so we got rid of it. If I think of more I would be happy to make a video :) for my first two kids i didn’t use a baby monitor but we live in a very small space so i didn’t feel like i was missing out. For our third baby a brand sent me one (the Eufy brand - i loved their monitor) and it ended up being really nice to see the baby and know what exactly she was doing in her room :) It also meant i could see her from the monitor even when i was in the backyard with the rest of the family. A lot of baby products can be resold after so you could always try something and then sell it later if it isn’t your favorite :)

I switched to Uppababy after Mockingbird had that recall. With the second baby on the way I know I’ll use it a bunch. I’m conflicted on convertible car seats though! Diono is what we have but when it’s rear facing it takes up so much room 😅 any suggestions?

I loved the Uppa baby! I prefer it to the Mockingbird, though it’s more pricey. But i got a great one off Craig’s list which really helped when we needed it!

For car seats i have never used the Diono so maybe someone else will have good thoughts! I like the Nuna Lite and also the Uppa Baby car seat. I hope other people comment so i can see their suggestions :)

The Clek Foonf has a very slim design with a very high safety rating. I hope that helps!
