Lucius did everything for him, was always present, he risked getting tortured to death whilst having the balls to ask Voldemort to call off the attack so they could search for Draco. In the films they had that one scene in which he hits Draco with his walking stick ig, never in the books tho. Movie lore wise, bezoar was mentioned in the first movie. Book lore wise bezoar was mentioned in the first book AND in the Half Blood Prince, One of Slughorn's classes everyone has to make an antidote to a poison, Hermione is feeling pretty smug because doing so is more theory so Harry can't just follow some simple instructions. But on top of Harry's page for making antidotes it simply say "Just use a bezoar". So Harry takes a chance, he doesn't make an antidote and grabs a bezoar and shows Slughorn, Slughorn loves Harry's nerve.

46:44 since you've already seen the last 2 movies here's a little spoiler/backstory: in the books, Snape orders Harry to stay there and wait for him, Snape brings Malfoy to the hospital, returns and realising were Harry learned the Sectumsempra spell asks him to show him all of his books. Harry left his bookbag upstairs so he runs to get it but on the way he switches his potions book with Ron's. He hides the Half Blood Prince's book in the Room of Requirement (without Ginny being there), walking past the Vanishing Cabinet and hides the book somewhere, marking it's location with Rowena Ravenclaws tiara, which turns out to be a Horcrux in the final movie. By the way, Snape's father was a Muggle, and his mother was named Eileen Prince. So Snape is both a halfblood wizard and part Prince, hence Halfblood Prince

Yeah that cop out was weak and snobby as fuck., "I'm an actress and because of that I know how to pick apart plots and twists from every movie I ever see. I know how movie sets and behind the scenes works. So that gives me the gift of clarevoyance to movies." She clearly isn't pausing every 10-20 seconds to pic apart every scene like she claims. Otherwise there would be hard cuts and changes in posture (since people move around) every 10 seconds in this reaction unless she wanted to leave in her "analyzing" and have a 3 hour reaction video every movie. She's clearly seen the movies before. It might have been a long time ago but she's seen them. Yeah there is plot twists and secrets that are hinted at and can be picked up if caught. Like the R.A.B. clue. Which is Regulas Black. Her trying to show that is how she cracks open every twist was a weak showing. That's obvious one that can be though back on. But certain twists even in these movies are hidden until the reveal, on purpose. But nope, she somehow gets them

People die and get hurt but the plot is whimsical, uncomplicated, and easily understood by children. People seem to have this weird idea that if a character dies it's automatically "not for kids," which I suspect stems from insecurity around being an adult and still liking "kid things." Kids can understand and process death, kids movies and shows can have characters die. Most of us had a grandparent or aunt/uncle die when we were children, it's not like we don't have any experience with that until adulthood.

I love that you are able to both dissect the movie and analyse it so critically, and at the same time remain so emotionally invested that you cry. I think that's a rare gift. Most reactors I've seen do one or the other; they either miss the clues and are really surprised and sad at what happens at the end, or they stay objective and "detached" throughout the movie but are able to predict what will happen. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with just being able to do one or the other, but I love that you are able to do both. What I love about the books (although I understand why they changed things for the movies) is that, apart from a few scenes such as the unbreakable vow at the beginning, everything is told from Harry's perspective. So the reader doesn't know that Snape told Dumbledore he didn't want to do it anymore. And the reader only gets Harry's POV, which is very biased against Snape.

During the scene where everyone held their wands up in honor of Dumbledore, everyone in the audience, including myself, held their wands or cellphones as such. Look... I'm not trying to be one of those people in the comment section with my tinfoil hat on saying that "Colette isn't watching the Harry Potter movies 'for the first time' 😏", but it is *insane* to me that she managed to correctly deduce who R.A.B. was at 1:06:16... I've literally never seen a single reactor correctly deduce that R.A.B. is Sirius Black's brother before it finally gets revealed in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1", albeit she misremembered his first name and got it mixed up with another character's first name but *still* lol...

@@Adonis-or8if Yeah lol..., honestly this reaction video in particular got me *especially* doubtful and skeptical of Colette's claims that she is actually watching the Harry Potter movies 'for the first time' and is going in completely blind... First, she managed to correctly deduce the main mystery of who the Half-Blood Prince is *completely* out of the blue at 47:49 and it was during a scene that Snape wasn't even involved in lol. Also, the Half-Blood Prince movie doesn't even put a focus on presenting the mystery of "Who is the Half-Blood Prince?" and the movie instead puts more of a focus on teenage romance unlike what the original book did. Then, right after the word Horcrux was mentioned, i.e. a completely random word that was *just* introduced, she *immediately* confidently says "you must have to kill people to have a Horcrux" at 53:19 *before* the movie explained what a Horcrux even is which is just unbelievable. And finally, as I've already brought up and typed about, what *really* made me lean towards the people in the comment section who are accusing her of already seeing the Harry Potter movies was when she managed to correctly deduce who R.A.B. was at 1:06:16 which is *insane* to me lol... Like that actually annoyed me -_- lol... Also, in her quote-unquote "final theory" at 1:08:18, she basically laid out almost verbatim what's going to happen in the final two movies with Dumbledore and Snape lol... Like bro..., if she manages to immediately "correctly guess" how Harry is gonna open the Golden Snitch or who sent the doe Patronus or confidently says something like "Something's gonna happen to Dobby guys. They're leaning into that. I can tell," just like she did right before Sirius died in Order of the Phoenix, in her "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" reaction video then that's gonna seal the deal for me that she's definitely not watching the Harry Potter movies 'for the first time' lol...

So I can accept figuring out that Snape must be the Half Blood Prince through knowledge of general writing tropes and filmmaking, but what I can't figure out is how she would've instantly known that Sectumsempra was Snape's own spell with no prior knowledge? It seems weird that she would jump to that conclusion just due to it being written down in the book - how would she have known it wasn't just a spell that Snape learned about from another source and made note of in his book? Plus the movies don't delve into the fact that spells are things that can be invented at all.
@ColetteCherry
@ColetteCherry Ай бұрын
at 46:19 Harry uses the Sectumsempra curse on Malfoy. He gets this curse from the Half Blood Prince's notes. He then gets rid of the half blood prince book because of his usage of this curse. It is clear is is the half blood prince's curse. then snape comes and heals Malfoy in the bathroom, almost like he knew exactly what to do to remedy the curse, which then I see him use that curse on Snape at the end of the film. It's easier to remember names when the subtitles are there. when he uses it again on Snape, I can recall it because of the subtitles and my memory of sectumsempra being used before. easy to connect the dots when you repeat everything out loud and pause throughout :)

She probably studied scripts and sorrytelling and had been on sets so she knows the structures". This make your reactions even more interesting because we know your eyes are more trained. Also he doesn't tell Harry to find Snape, Harry runs for help and Snape paralyzes him. Then kills Dumbledore, the idea that they leave Harry untouched for Voldemort is a theme reiterated multiple times so not harming Harry seems natural

You are a very pleasant and intelligent reactor. When I read the books, I thought to myself, "J.K. Rowling must have written Harry's story in reverse, from the end to the beginning, rather than from the beginning to the end". In the books, we learn a lot about Harry's thoughts, and things make more sense. It was very different and much more interesting reading the books as they were released one by one. We had no way of knowing what Harry's, Ron's, and Hermione's fate would be. Watching the movies many years later is a very different experience because everyone knows that seven books and eight movies exist, and therefore, everyone knows that the main three characters survive, at least in the first seven movies. Thank you for another awesome reaction. Sending greetings and love from Slovenia💖

Professor Dumbledore's death was one of the most traumatic for Harry to witness. Right alongside his parents' murder at the hands of Voldemort when he was 15 months old, Cedric Diggory at the ratty (pun fully intended) hands of Wormtail during the last task of the Triwizard Tournament in that graveyard, and Sirius dying at the hands of his psychotic cousin Bellatrix Lestrange before he disappeared into the Veil in the Ministry Of Magic. Also, this is one of the few times Ron is shown to be intelligent in the movies. The scene on the Hogwarts Express where he's explaining the Unbreakable Vow to Harry, specifically. The wizard's chess scenes from Philosopher's Stone is another. I think another good example is the good questions he was asking in Chamber Of Secrets when Harry found that crumpled up book page in Hermione's hand.

I think this movie is my favorite in the franchise. It's basically the Empire Strikes Back for the Harry Potter universe. This is one of the films where the heroes really lose. The bad guys won a few things already but this was the bleakest. Even though it's a fantasy film, it's filmed with the seriousness of a David Fincher film. The more serious tones, the muted colors, it's a better film than some of the others, not saying any of the other films are bad, they're all great films. And Collette, honestly, I wouldn't care either way if you saw these or not. It's your reaction to the films either way. I'm glad you take this time to share with us. Maybe some folks aren't giving you enough credit for being smart. They may look at you and think "pretty and dumb blonde" but I choose to see you in a better light. Although, I do think you're very pretty, which I'm sure you must get that a lot. But I get the sense from you that there's an intelligent and interesting person inside you. If I ever get my screenplay going I may reach out if I need an actress. And an observation of your channel, I think you're a good lady that would really get into horror films and would love to see you react to a few more. Hope you didn't take any of this as bad criticism. Hope you have a great week.

But before they were preparing to make the newt/grindlewald films, they changed his age to 115. This isn't something new, J.K. is pretty well known for inconsistencies over the years, but as it's her world/universe she created, she can pretty much change things as she likes.

Also i personally think the reaction field is a good one to get into if u want to write. The best writers I love have 3 things in common: They feel deeply, they are very smart and they consume their chosen art form voraciously. You have the first two, we can see from ur reactions. The third is time and effort. The more u consume the more wide ranging ur knowledge in general and of the art in particular. (As someone who writes music) each step in creation is a series of choices and options (often to use one technique or another). Very few techniques or ideas are really "new". What IS new is how u move from step to step in a compelling satisfying and logical way. If u have a huge library of ideas to draw upon u can scroll through them to see how different writers would handle each step, each choice. You can play into that or against it, but the breadth of the library and the nouse to find the best choice for ur work - that’s what makes a great writer. My perspective at least from someone who thinks about thinking about creation too much.

In power, Sirius was between Dumbledore and everyone else plus he had the family library at his disposal despite not using it; very gifted, very talented. Bellatrix had reason to be proud that she took him out, besides in her mind its better she did killed the only cousin she actually liked rather than her Lord (who'd be cruel) or anyone else (who weren't worthy to even challenge one of the Black Family). After over a decade in prison together in the high security wing, both Bellatrix and Sirius looked at death very differently. For them, it was welcoming. Warm. Hopeful. Everything Azkaban tore away from them both, also the Dementors threatened to steal away even the mercy of death. She's crazy, knows it. He's crazy, hasn't quite figured that out yet. Both would prefer to die to one another, fighting for those they loved more than themselves: Voldemort for Bellatrix, Harry for Sirius. She did not actually believe she'd be able to hit him, thus her surprise and the gleeful triumph of a little girl getting one over on her cousin/brother figure. That is her mind: she actually believes killing her cousin was a good thing for both of them and was happy she could give him a warrior's death.
