As someone that was coached by Wes for a bit, he knows his stuff. Learned a few unconventional movements from him that took me from a bad straddle planche attempt to nearly holding full planche on floor in ~3 months. I'm over 6ft and 205lbs, as well. Really take this content in, folks. If it works for me, it'll work for you.

Tbh I disagree with you. You might say "If I did it,you can do it too" but not "If this worked for me, it'll work for you". We don't have one size fits all here. Everyone has different weaknesses that would require different approaches. And he teached specifically you, while in the video he's giving a more general advice.

10:54, starting my planche journey and im immediately finding it hard to lift my hips up during a tuck planche and when i did this it just flew for like 1-2 inches and it was so noticable compared with a recent clip/ and i also feel so much tighter, now my hip flexors dont cramp anymore since its my abs actually doing the lifting now!

I can understand...🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️😅😅😅😬I'm somewhere between 200 to 201cm tall and about 99 to 101kg. I have a very shredded and lean build. I started on my Planche journey mid-January. I acquired the Tuck Planche in a matter of a few weeks even though my body is really really long and heavy..I've been smoothing my Tuck Planche holds out and working on increasing my hold time to 30 seconds. I've also been trying to kick my tucked legs out away from my chest to try and get into the Advanced Tuck Planche..my goal for this year is to master 30 second Tuck Planche holds and to acquire the Advanced Tuck Planche by mid January 2024. Don't give up and keep getting advice from all kinds of places...and from all kinds of calisthenic KZfaqrs. Work on Reverse Hypers if you have a problem getting your legs into advanced Tuck, or the Straddle Planche. Have pull days where you only focus on 1, 2, or 3 variations of pull-ups or chin-ups. Check out Andry Strongs channel and go to his shorts section. You can find a good pull-up routine that he uses and has shared...I use it several times a week and its awesome.

I like the video cuz there are some helpful tips in here, however, there are questions that I would have asked him if I was interviewing him, such as, should you continue doing those planche exercises if your muscles are sore? Do I need to rest? If yes, then how long should I rest before I can continue? And, what is his diet? Do you go on a bulk or cut during the planche journey? Clean bulk or dirty bulk? Basically just what do I eat to further boost my strength in doing the planche exercises? Knowing what to do to learn the planche is important, but knowing when to rest and what to eat are just as important and that's what this video is lacking. Nonetheless, thank you for the video once again.

i gotta look into this belly button to spine thing. i've pretty much got my full front lever. with the maltese forearm drill on boxes, i can do it with one leg out, other advanced tucked. when i engage my core (brace for punch) my belly doesn't get smaller. my belly button doesn't move into my spine. it just gets hard. anybody have any good videos on this?

The first two are no use to 99% of beginners because they cant do them. This is double for tall lean people, its no use at all trying to learn planche with negatives because by the time you have the forearm strength for the negative you are pretty near planche anyway. Leans good, band assisted the single best way for beginners and especially tall people or heavier people to achieve planche.

Once your wrists and elbows get used to the movement I would increase the amount of training sessions a week if you really want to focus on achieving the planche more efficiently. Increase this slowly as you don't want to overtrain either
