I've never seen anyone struggle that much with the box minigame. and also in part 1, i never knew what happened if you got eaten by the eel, so i was amazed when i saw the cutscene play, cause i'm pretty sure many players never got eaten by the eel? Also the way he talks, it really does sound like he is having fun right? plus you can tell he hates playing games, cause he needs stream chat's advice on how to beat a game every single time. what happened to just playing the game and finding out for yourself, thats the whole charm to games though. discovering and doing something new. The new locations, and the feeling of accomplishment and success when you win. I've also never heard of a gamer or twitch streamer say "I don't want to play this anymore." Especially when they were paid to play a game. That's something a kinder gardener would say. Note: He also says the developers learned nothing from Super Mario 64, though might I remind you, Phil ragequit Super Mario 64, when he got to Whomp's Fortress.

I can't understand how DSP has any un-ironic fans left. Whenever he encounters a problem that requires even a bit of thinking, he just puts the controller down and stares at chat until someone gives him the answer. How is it fun to watch someone play like that? Even worse, he acts like he figures out everything on his own. He gets his hand held throughout the entire Noki Bay platform section and then talks like he's hot shit...

Phil's fans must love wasting their money on half assed playthroughs.

So much cringe. 99 percent of this playthrough is complaining about controls, complaining about camera, complaining about the physics complaining about input lag. Just constant excuses which of course makes zero sense because when I played this game I never had any of those issues. The guy just sucks at the game and doesn't want to admit he sucks so he points the blame at the game or the controller.

I can't wait till he gets to the final area where you have to use fludd to navigate the boat across the poll of lava to get to bowser

Maybe it's just me and the fact that I am quite familiar with this game, but I swear he blamed the game even more than usual over the course of this playthrough so far. And literally none of it is legitimate. His "clipping" claims are just terrible depth perception. His issues with physics, specifically inertia, are generally due to him holding the control stick longer than he should - case in point at 12:10: Mario runs (doesn't slide) off of the platform and even slides down the opposite ledge briefly, which means he was still holding the stick in that direction. His claims about "red herrings" and "beginner's traps" just show his deficiencies in observation and memory (how the fuck do you not know where to go on a linear path?). It's almost like he's not even aware of his inputs or lack thereof half the time; he just fills in the gaps with his presumption of being good at games, which means it *must* be the game's fault when he fails. Explain to him the death at 12:10 and he'll just flatly tell you that you're wrong. But no matter. The fails and rage are still hilarious, and that's why I watch videos like these. Fantastic compilation.

Midway through the game and he still doesn't understand the direction of the wall-jump and thinks the camera angle is the thing that matters. And he is still too stupid to figure out a butt-slam will prevent him from overshooting platforms. This is something a regular gamer understands if he played Super Mario 64 two decades ago

It's so sad how he needs to be babysat through the entire game. every single step needs to be explained by the stream chat. It's like Twitch Plays Pokemon.

I am convinced Phil has absolutely shit depth perception and reflexes. This game controls just fine. Phil either pushes the buttons too late or too early when he's platforming. His inputs were "dropped" numerous times when he played Crash Bandicoot, after all.

Those flowers on the pinna park level are really cute and their little dialogue, unfortunately even they couldnt make 2 hours of man-pig enjoyable for 5 minutes. 40:25 nahhhhhh ya think. What I find funny about his complaints is that he thinks we are stupid and thinks we haven't played the game before. Yes, it wonky in some areas, but its still a functional game. A great functional game.

Super Mario Sunshine definitely has a good number of flaws, but it's still a fun game underneath it all. Phil just fails so badly because he has practically no 3D perception and cannot accept his mistakes for whenever something in the game doesn't go his way. It's like he expects the game to hand him the victory on a silver platter with no challenges or strings attached. How can he even call himself a gamer? Oh, and Phil, if you want to talk about a game that is truly bugged and full of glitches, go and play Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly. That game is a pain to beat, let alone 100% like I forced myself to do a couple of years ago.
