Exactly, and if you give a girl everything she asks for she will become unhappy and hate you. Most of the times what a girl says is completely irrelevant, you have to read her body language and emotions to find out what she really wants, or needs. And if a girl has a huge list of requirements for her future boyfriend, just ignore it, it's also completely irrelevant. If she finds a guy she is attracted to, she will completely ignore that list.

I find the expectations of women I don’t know to be ridiculous too. At a hostel, just 2 hours ago, a strange woman came up to me whilst I was eating corn chips and just held out her hand expecting me to give some to her. Another time one dumped her bag next to me and asked if I could look after it. No polite requests, just demands. The list goes on, and they’re so surprised and offended when I say no. They really walk around expecting men to be their servants.

She reminds me of my wife when we just met. She was malnourished as a student, because her mother didn't teach even simple meal prep. She lived off cookies, boiled rice with canned pineapple and macaroni with sugar. Her mother felt that a modern woman didn't need to have to cook, at all, ever. It made her daughters deeply dependent on others to provide. So, I taught her how to cook. After that I waited a bit to see if she'd stick around for me. She did. Now she's my wife. Weekend cooking is still my domain.

When I first got with my late wife over 20 years ago she was extremely sheltered. I was an army brat so had a very different upbringing. She came from a very traditional asian family, it was just family events, private school and church. Her family were great people but they over protected all their kids. My wife had never moved more than 5 minutes away from the house she was born in, driven more than 40 minutes away from home, never repaired anything, never pumped her own gas, never done anything that required adrenaline, etc. By the time she passed away a few months ago she had a Harley Fatboy, dirt bikes, quads, camping, hiking, fishing, could pee in the woods, could change tires, change her own oil, she'd drive 11 hours to a different state to visit family, had traveled, could do basic household/car repairs, etc. I never made her do anything but if she was willing to try something I'd show her what I knew. She developed a love of learning new things. She was very happy person, all her cousins (large extended family) would constantly 'ooh and aah' over all the 'wild' things that she could do. Her cousins are in their 40-50's now and still have so many fears in life.

You are not alone, there are crazy parents out there who have no responsibility or shame. Some parents have children so that they have someone to do the work for them and to blame for their own problems. Children are a burden and the workplace is not the other way around. Children require healthy morals, mental health, money, time and genuine care. And unfortunately, too many adults can't find any of those, so the children suffer. Children are not free labor or a dumping ground for problems. Not all adults will ever have the capacity or ability to take care of children (sometimes even themselves).

My wife panicked the other day because she dropped our daughter off at school and she got a flat tire. She busted in the back door crying and yelling. I asked her where's your van? She said I left it and walked home. I asked her "why are you crying?" I'll go fix it for you but you don't need to cry about it. She freaked out at me and filed for divorce.

I'm so glad someone else viscerally HATES Queen/Princess expectations. Every time I see a "Princess" license plate or decal. And I abhor 💩 tests. We used to call it "trying someone, and it was highly frowned upon. The girl that was always "trying" her boyfriend had obvious mental challenges and was deemed unfit for dating when the word got out. Speaking as a father of two grown daughters, I never served things up. They hated talking to the counter person at McDonald's, so I made them start with telling waiters what they wanted. I challenged them regularly and told them about the nasty things in the world, and also taught them situational awareness. That's one of the most important things to teach girls. Pay attention. They've already avoided two potentially dangerous instances because they saw them unfolding and did the Snagglepuss. Exit, stage left.

So true on the "she starts expecting it" and "if it doesn't go perfect for her". My partner was going through depression and so I stepped up more and more and more in doing most everything. But after a couple months of this, the more I did the more it was no longer considered specially for her in her mind and it was just expected or "Your supposed to do that", when I did special level things. And if I planned a day centered around her, the smallest inconvenience or frustration, she would latch onto and tell her friends the day was horrible because of something that took up 2min in an otherwise perfect day, even if I had no control over the minor "problem" at all. The more I did the more I was made to feel less of her equal by her.

You can always understand how much a woman respects her man the way she speaks about him. Everything she listed the guy dies for her she just take those things for granted and doesn't appreciate it for a minute. While these women will also come on social media and make videos if the guy doesn't bring any flowers or does things they want him to do. There's a remarkable distinction between a woman says what she wants and what she responds to.
