That wide angle camera is pretty unique just like note 8 which has a s-pen !

Yes...I bought it and I love it. AND use the DAC quite a bit. Camera is fine. Battery is not bad. You can adjust the display at a lower level and still looks great, and us Greenify . My battery is fine. Wireless charging makes it easy to top off. And the button at least works great for the Assistant; BUT I do agree it would have been nice to be able to remap it. Using Nova Prime Launcher on it makes it snap.

I love the G7 for the way it handles my notifications, spotify, and messaging. I had an LG V20 for the audio side, but the G7 has that too. I wouldn't want go back to the V20 and btw, you can keep Samsung, Apple and Motos to! LG better keep the new models coming, because they are excellent and very underrated. Keeps the price down though, so not going to complain.

I have the v40, XS max, note 9 and G7. Have to say the G7 is the phone I often chose as my daily due to form factor (fits perfectly in the hand) and amazing video shooting. And don’t get me stared on that dac! Man. Studio head phones are heavenly. LG is making really really good phones. Their marketing just SUCKS. plus people are insanely critical of LG. Folks will glaze over the MANY issues Samsung and Pixel have had. But LG is blasted for the smallest things.

I have no strong feelings either way but I definitely think LG did a good job with it. They give you the chance to hide it or colour it, plus it doesn't cut into the videos on KZfaq with its different aspect ratio.

Bought one and loving it. Actually a store here in Sweden had a "two for one" offer so I got that and sold the second one and got this phone really cheap in the end. A real steal!

Great review!!! I have had the G7 since the day it was released! I luv everything about it the speed and all... the quick charge 3.0 makes up for the small battery! Also the G7 supports quick charge 4.0 as well...

Holy shit yes! Saying the whole name every two seconds was distracting. The G7 marked my return to Android since the HTC G1 and there's no way I'm going back to iOS. G7 is a great phone.

Nice review and believe you hit the high points (camera, audio) and low points (battery) of an LG phone. I have taken a few photos on my G6 that people were surprised I took with a phone. The wide angle in nice to have.

I just got the G7 last week...not because it was my first choice, but because it was the logical choice that I was given at that time. Since that moment however, I have come to determine that I really made a great deal. I've been happy with the whole package ever since. I was really worried that going from an AMOLED to an LCD would be taking a huge step backwards, but I gotta hand it to LG for making easily the best LCD screen I've ever seen and is equal to my old Samsung in almost all areas (except for the true blacks that OLED screens excel at admittedly). Seriously, this screen is amazing. Very responsive, too.

I love the LG G7 ThinQ, it's more powerful than I espected. In benchmarks is so Savage with the scores. Maybe not the most powerful in numbers... but in user experience it feels great.

Best feature on my g7 thinq is the ability to drop the uhd screen to 720. Makes the battery last like 2 full days

The greyscale fearture is cool also. Tap 3 times on home button and turn screen black and white. Its great for night driving

Has your phone suffered any bootloop issues? I heard that their phones are plagued with those issues. I don't want to go with another Samsung because of the Edge models and finding a good screen protector for it.

I got the LG G6 on May 2018, it's awesome phone, only thing I don't like is the external audio and the DAC, both of these issues are fixed on the Lg G7, maybe I'll give the G6 to my wife and get a G7 soon.

I got a beat up Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and I need an upgrade pretty bad. I want a phone and I just found out LG has quad DAC's built in to some models. I use my phone mainly for music. I love music so this phone might be the one for me. My only issue would be......waiting. Waiting either for the price to go down on this phone or just waiting for a new phone in general. Ive heard the V40 might be coming out soon. What do you guys think?

I am sitting with a V20 too... and it has slowed down overtime...kind of lags a lot at times and heats up, add to that a horrible battery life and a new world record that lg has set with updates particularly for this phone (still on nougat) makes me afraid to go with LG again.. ...and here comes the G7, only flagship with stellar audio and video, compact body (very important factor for me), water resistance, wide cam, mil grade build..all for 22k (~310$) 64gb version (exchanging my old j5 lying around plus some bank offers).....and they decide to put mere 3000mah inside again!! plus no oled to at least cope with this battery size...makes me kinda angry.. 😡😡 because I so want to get it and not go with doppos, chivos, dullme etc. and Samsung flagships are out of reach of my pocket...leaves me with no options but scratching my head...still afraid of lg's stellar record with updates... though a few very bright things still pulls me towards g7 - very efficient 10nm chip (wonder if that will hold the juice a bit longer), surprised to see an option to lower the resolution..that will certainly help with battery (can't find on my v20), a compact 6 incher, light UI compared to v20, ip rating.. ...still sitting grabbing my head, any thoughts would be appreciated 🤔🤔

Great video Nick but I noticed one thing that was off, you said the G6's camera software looked outdated but that's purely because you haven't updated your phone to Andoid 8, my G6 camera looks identical to the G7's after the update

I last used LG with the G2 and was sold on the knock on feature. Now im looking at them again to replace my S6 I tried the s7, s8 and note 8 and none of them has the features I like. The P20 is interesting though.

I really love my g7. This phone is awesome. I recommend getting rid of the LG launcher and messages app. They lag. Nova and textra or Google messages

I have the G6 and and the V20 and will be looking for upgrading them in time... I could do without The Notch but I can't fault it's performance and I do have a preference for LG devices for the past couple of years or more...

Writing from my V20; aomost two years of heavy usage, still no problem at all; its an Unique & complete mobile; i would suggest , you Should buy again the V20; Also Price now settled down to base level, So extreme value for money.

Just get the V30 it's definitely worth the upgrade from both of those phones. I owned both a G6 and V20 now have the V30 and the display is so much better and bigger, much faster and battery lasts much longer as the SD 835 is 40% more battery efficient than the SD 821 and 27% faster.

Does the G7 run 64 bit or 32 bit android? I know moto is guilty of only pushing 32 bit to all their devices

Crazy. I would rather have the G7 over the G8. I like the notch vs other notches. I am currently using the iPhone Xr.

I’m fed up with the cost of iPhones and looking for an android phone to buy. The lg G7 and V35 are at the top of my list, can anyone share there opinion on these phones? Based on this video it seems as though the lg phones can be setup to have a similar interface to the iPhones?
