I can’t even be honest or better said write all my thoughts etc. into the journal, for that I prob need to move out or be good enough in Korean to make full sentences and being able to express myself. Spanish would be cool to learn too, but anyone can translate it easily, because the letters are most likely the same. I made a Journal with different sections: about me (fav colour, fav book, singer, hobby, friends etc.) just to see if it changes over times. My dreams/goals, training plan (structures), rating movies or books, strangers talking, my dreams, creative pages, things I am grateful for (little things), happy jar notes. I made little positive notes I did fold once and glued on the page, so if I should feel down, I can open one and close it again, recipes… In goals I reached all the things I wrote for now if I remember it correctly. I didn’t write my biggest goals yet (I don’t dare to take the step yet and I also stopped journaling for years) the last time I wrote was when my cat went missing. I opened my journal and came across the goals/dreams page and realised that all I wrote came true, so I prayed and wrote that my cat comes back as I was crying and had barely hopes. But I was trying to manifest it and think positive, just this time, for this moment I will give it a try and believe it, as I wrote it down. And my cat came back. Didn’t write again after that into my journal, but I was so happy and I think writing it down helped me and gave me hopes. You can create a journal the way you wish, there are no limits, you can be creative and that’s very cool. But I lost motivation and don’t have time for that at all. But it’s nice to have it, to look once a while inside. I might start a new one, if I feel like it again.

Pro tip: use a composition-style notebook, not a spiral notebook. This makes it a lot harder to rip pages out, whether they be blank pages for use elsewhere, or journaled pages that you want to get rid of. And if you can just casually rip pages out of your journal, then that signals to your brain that your journal is trivial and unimportant.

Subjective classes are tricky, they sound easier than objective classes but the measure is capped to an individual's expectations, your teacher's. Which could be a NEBULOUS measure than if it was fixed. They might be light graders or the second coming of the third Reich concerning grammar. I did find though, they're easier to "haggle", I saw students who were good at debate bump their grade up just by talking and also redos like you did, I tried it once for me and a friend and I got him an A and me a B. I mostly find they're mostly softer on people who take their classes serously, NEVER show disinterest or sleep, sit in the front row and participate best you can. Be engaged. If you think about it, it sounds like heaven to students, but pretty offensive if people expect your life's achievement to be nap time. They've been there for years before and after you leave, they know the rumors better than you. 😂

I have the same problem!! What helps me the most is not setting a goal at all (let yourself journal whenever you feel the need to). Journaling is supposed to be ralaxing and (for me at least) assigning it a goal makes it a chore instead. But if you do want to set a goal for yourself, set one that is so minimal it's nearly impossible to fail at first. The point is making it *very* specific and countable in a way, this will make it easy. For example, not "I'll journal once a week", but "I'll journal for 5 minutes a week" or "I'll fill half a page of my journal notebook per week". You'll build up confidence this way and will be able to make it harder as time goes on. Also, make it realistic. Don't go all in at once, you'll burn out. Start small. Also also, bring your journal with you everywhere!💖

Hi, do we have to journal everyday? So does that mean we have to have few books for journalling for a year?
@thefulcrum4 ай бұрын
Hi Alyssa, that's a great question. Journalling is so free-form that there are no have-tos or shoulds. Though this can quickly become overwhelming for a beginner. Here's what worked for me when starting out: I installed a simple notepad app on my phone (I used Jota for Android) and, anytime I had an idea or something I wanted to chew on, I just wrote it down. Literally, an unfiltered dump of what I was thinking. And then, at the end of the month, I would scan through this log and pick up the things that seemed useful and discarded anything that wasn't. With practice, you develop and intuition for this so don't be too precious with this. If you want more of a structure, I would say start writing down 3 things to be grateful for in the morning and, in the evening, think about what went well, what could be better and what could you do smarter tomorrow. Phew, long comment. I'm actually creating a beginner's course on creating a journalling habit. Just comment on one of my videos if you want to know more. And best of luck to you!
@wack79549 ай бұрын
which journal are you using? or is it just a random one. bc ive been considering buying one since i started watching your videos. ive also been wondering if you journal every single day or is it only when you feel like it?
@thefulcrum4 ай бұрын
Hi there, not Via but I might be able to help: If you're a beginner, buy an A5, plain notebook from the office supplies store. You can also journal digitally too which is cool because, if you're like many people I know, you carry your phone around with you whereever you go. re: when to journal, there is no rule to do it. When I started, I would just write whenever I had an idea or a thought I wanted to mentally unpack. And then, at the end of the month, I would review my thoughts and pick out things to develop more and discard the rest. However, over time, I have a more regular morning and evening journalling process. Hope this makes sense. Feel free to leave a comment on any of my videos if you need more help :)
