I used to go roller skating every weekend in middle school and this song would always play. I didn't pay much attention to the lyrics, but listening to it now is just totally different. I didn't even realize it was about a father/daughter relationship. These father/daughter songs always make me cry. Every. Single. Time. I miss my dad more than I could ever explain. Any time I hear a father/daughter song or I see fathers and daughters together, or watch a tv show or movie of the daughter getting married, it wrecks me!! Instant tears because of the immense love I have for my dad, and then the pain of knowing he won't be here to walk me down the isle or meet my husband and kids is the absolute worst pain. I always have to recover from these videos, songs, tv shows/movies. Sometimes I just cry the rest of the day. 💔💔💔
