In this first thrift haul of 2024, I'm buying the wild things because it's the best and easiest way to create unique, personal style. Buying the wild items is one of the most fun and low risk things to do when adding interest to your closet. The more strange, the better! Let's figure out how to incorporate them in a way that's fun and wearable. Try them on with me! Oh, and there's kittens!

I usually hide whatever kittens I have around because they turn into monsters as soon as the curtains appear but maybe I should just let them ruin things. It might be more entertaining! These particular kittens just got adopted but I'm sure it won't be long until the next ones show up.

Animal rescue is the key to my personal happiness! How nice to find out you do this too! I think people get so focused on the "giving away" and how hard that might be, but if they only knew the joy that comes from matching these babies with the perfect homes, we'd have more foster homes.

that dark green (?) pencil strappy dress is beautiful! You should try it with a slim turtleneck underneath or a long sleeve so you have the dress fully exposed still! Great video and fun style tips as always!

That black and green (teal?) embroidered dress is absolutely divine!!! Love the tomato dress too! The peach dress reminds me of young Connery James Bond movie sexy babydoll nighties. How's that for a description!!! 🤣 Not keen of the yellow/orange top (just because I despise orange!) but the cut of it is perfect for that gorgeous fishtail skirt. A white version of that top would not be as fun but would look oh so glamorous, especially if paired with some oversized yellow jewellery! The whole haul is just so joyous and vibrant!

Yellow can be difficult for people. I do like it a lot even though it might not be my best color. This whole haul was so fun but I think I have to keep that embroidered dress!

@@unblahyourself I can sort of be OK with yellow in small doses, such as the yellow in the skirt. But orange??? The only acceptable orange is on a ginger cat! It's a knee-jerk reaction for me, and it runs deep... Not just in fashion but in everything. Very ironic for a natural redhead. Or maybe that's where it comes from. Any way, I'm sure Freud and fellow psychoanalysts would have a field day with that! 😂

I don't agree with this clown remark! 😅 I've seen women of all shapes and sizes experiment with their clothes and I say if it's done with confidence and you're kind to people, it's generally well-received. Confidence + kindness FTW! Now I'm sitting here wondering about the confidence levels of clowns... hmmm.😉

I love this kind of experimenting and it gave me some ideas to use for a brilliant red orange dress that fits well but is after all a red orange. I did wear it once with dark blue but I think it needs more blue than red orange showing. I also like how it looked with the grey so I'm going to try that. Thank you for the inspiration!

No, and thank you btw, but everyone is so different that what works for me will probably not really be great for someone else. I wouldn't want to recommend anything that would be bad for anyone but basically I wait until I actually feel hungry to eat (no snacking), and I eat tons of veggies every day. I also love to work out about 4 times a week. I think those are things I can say without having people get mad about it! ❤
