ESTRANGED wife. This isn’t a crime of passion with a man getting cheated on. This is an abusive man not letting a woman leave him.
@TheReluctantVlogger
@TheReluctantVlogger 2 ай бұрын
That detail makes a horrible action just more unjustified than it already is. Being cheated on is humiliating, hurtful and all around a traumatic experience. But there’s no universe where murder is a justified response. In or outside of marriage, whether it’s the first or third time. There are instances where killing is a proper response. Cheating is simply never one of them, and if a person is that unstable it’s only a matter of time before they hurt someone else.

He did an inyerview when he was first jailed and he seemed like he was on something. The rage, talking about HIS wife, in the HIS house--they were speareted because he was physically abusive and repeatedly cheated on her. This wasnt someone that snapped; this was a man that couldnt handle his "possession" leaving him.

Re: he cheated too so could she have shot him? The kinds of people who are defending him for shooting her because she allegedly cheated are the kind of people who say it's a man's right to cheat, or that the woman is somehow at fault for it. So you won't get a non contradictory answer.

@NathalieCwiekSwiercz that's why I said allegedly. Although I suppose I should have said he incorrectly accused her of cheating even though they weren't together. The whole thing reminds me of Warhammer and Christy Mack, these so called men refused to let the women go and acted like they owned them even though the women were very clear that they left their asses in the dust. So many people blamed Christy in that situation too.

His mom's attitude and lies make it easy to understand how he ended up being a monster that takes 0 accountability for his actions. She raised him that way by being an enabler, constantly turning a blind eye and excusing and covering up his behavior. She really wants us to believe she "honestly doesn't recall" being told and shown pictures of the abuse her daughter in law was suffering? Who could forget something like that, especially after what followed?

I completely agree with the part that you said about losing your shit. And even if you “aren’t aware” you still need to be responsible for that. And it’s clear that man was well aware of what happened. Whether he was in the passenger seat, he knew what he was going to do. Where did the gun come from? He wasn’t there at the apartment, he took the time to grab the gun and go to the apartment from his hotel room. In that amount of time you’re not going to sit back and think, “am I really going to hurt and kill Ana because of what I heard?” Like ????

I really don't like how her friend has been constantly labeled as a lover. It's like these articles are worded to make people relate to how Ali was feeling. The title of the article says lover but then you read it and says friend. I was thinking it was the Mandela effect bc when it happened all the news articles were saying friend and that he was just comforting her bc of what was going on. Now everything is saying lover. It's like they're taking Abdul's word for it so he doesn't look as bad. This man took a picture of the bodies and sent it to his mom. He wasn't unaware, she he showed up with a gun. He's acting like it's a surprise trust he had a gun.

Surely, if you go to a house with a gun in your hand, that's pre-meditated murder, right? I mean, you're not going to that house, to show your wife and a possible new lover a neat paint job you just got on your Glock 19. And why on earth would a 'Crime of Passion' be any kind of defence? You still killed them, right?

as someone with an interest in american law, the standard for the defence of not guilty by reason of insanity or mental disorder is much more complex than having mental illness or 'not being in the right state of mind.' in fact his own testimony shows his contemporaneous acknowledgement of consciousness of guilt. that being said, i'm basing my opinion on only this video and my knowledge of the US legal system.

Lawyers discussing this case stated had PLENTY of time to think about what he was doing, heat of the moment defense applies to something that happens in the heat of the moment so quick you can't think. 10:44 in the USA on a legal level there is a difference in being in a temporary state where you do not realize what you are doing is wrong, either on a moral level or on a legal and social consequences level, like a serious ptsd flashback full psychosis event where you're hallucinating or under strung delusions that someone is like a monster or enemy combatant from your time overseas and about to hurt you, and there aren't other immediate options-- and you have to prove that beyond a reasonable doubt to get "not guilty by reason of insanity". that's what they're going for, but when he's had what looks an awful lot like a narcissistic injury rage meltdown and trashed her place before, plus the debatable premeditiation of the listening device and the gun seems like a bad gambit. playing this at sentencing might get you a more understanding result though, especially in a death penalty state. Gypsy Rose got a really light sentence because while she was in a situation where being raised by a woman who has her fully convinced she had NO other escape options would qualify, the copious amount of evidence of premeditation worked against her. that doesn't mean in a theraputic setting he would be considered well at all. I used to question what felt like a high bar, but after learning more about say cluster b personality disorders (except BPD) vs schizophrenia? the latter is absolutely more frequently treatable, and not guilty by reason of insanity doesn't mean you get to walk totally free usually-- you go to a state designated high security mental health facility which is often as bad as some prisons, and you're there until you're deemed rehabilitated by professionals on site that are used to looking for signs of deception to a point they'll testify on your behalf-- whether that's longer or shorter than your prison sentence just depends on you. being legally culpable means he's not unwell in a way that doesn't hold responsibility. we do not benefit from therapy when we can't admit we were wrong in the first place, even though we have no mental excuse for it being anything more than willfull ignorance. therefore you might need mental help but you're not on a level right now where that could be your immediate commencing rehabilitation plan. TL;DR being a mentally unwell willful asshole with a pattern of physical abuse toward your victim because you always want to be right and not pay legal consequences? is not the same thing as, say, someone giving you a drug without your knowledge (you can't have taken it knowingly yourself) and you hallucinated and saw a pedestrian as an attacking demon, and just reacted and they died as a result, and now later you're horrified. if the first were a defense basically every murderer would be not guilty by reason of insanity. and boy I should really just give in and go to college and get a forensic psychology degree already if I can say this off the top of my head.

They were NOT divorced, they were still legally married Ali wasn’t the only one using drugs, they both were as well as their entire friend group. Ray and Ana were lovers. It was discovered by the police when they found messages between both of them indicating a romantic relationship. Ali was not “out of the house” for more than a year. They were very much still involved and around eachother up until 1 week before the shooting. I’m amazed at how much misinformation is spread nowadays not just on this but in general.
