Hello folks, this week we have a great video for you which is full of carp catching shore fishing action!
Ivo takes you to the shoreline early one morning to fish for carp. He uses the T-Turn swivel down to a sinker and a circle-hook. For bait he loads the hook up with simple corn.

I've always wanted to fish for carp when I was younger yet I never was able to hook one. I was caught up in the bolies and all the complex rigs like the hair rig and it just never worked. I saw your video about 2 years ago and used your tips you've mentioned as just sweet corn on a hook and ever since then I've caught TONS of carp. Just wanted to stop by and give some thanks! Always catch and release :D

I went Carp fishing yesterday for my first time here on the Thames river in Chatham Ont; and it was great. Some of the biggest fish i've ever caught .So relaxing and exciting at the same time ! Thanks for your tips they helped me a lot. I'm relatively new to the sport and your advice has been invaluable to me ( I've seen everyone of your videos at least 4 times each lol) I love how you have a lure company but you're not always pushing them instead your showing how to use a simple set up, hook line and sinker. I never would have thought to fish for carp or catfish if not for your videos. Give Antonio a high 5 for me please , he rules. More videos please lovelovelove the boatless anchor series. Cheers

Glad you are enjoying our videos and that you want to fish for carp...carp fishing really is a lot of fun :) We like to use corn in a can, right from your local grocery store (such as green giant brand) You can use the corn right out of the can, not cooked. You can also buy frozen corn at the grocery store and that will work also once thawed. Try fishing an area that has weeds or vegetation close by, but fish in the open water - the carp will cruise around looking for food - good luck!

You earned yourself a subscriber. Awesome vid. My uncle told me a story about my late step father who apparently was an insanely knowledgeable fisherman and how he used berries to bait the carp and taught him how to catch a ton. They gave every fish to the other fisherman who weren't having any luck lol.

Great to hear from you in CA :) one easy way to find out what kind of fish you have in the feeder creek, is to use a night crawler as bait. Just use a piece of night crawler on a hook. You can also try to use minnows as well. Most every fish will hit a night crawler. Good luck :)
@thundermistlures
@thundermistlures 11 жыл бұрын
Hi Tong - yes, you can use circle hooks for carp and when you do, you do not really set the hook, you just start to reel in with the circle hook and the carp will end up hooking himself. Size 2 is a real good size to use and be sure to use a good, strong hook :) Besides the circle hooks, octopus style hooks are also very good - they are a strong hook with a nice hook gap.

Hi Thundermist, I used to live in Nashville Tennesse when i was young and lernt to fish with lures and plastic worms for large and small mouth bass, we used to use chicken liver for catfish i also caught a fish that i beleave was called a drum or thats what my american step father called it. I would love to go back one day and fish there again. Well i now live back in the uk and fish mostly for carp im glad to see americans starting to fish for carp more and more. Its also great to see the setups you guys use they are a bit on the primative side compared to us in the uk (thats a first usally america is more advanced then the uk from what i can remember anyway) UK carp are so heavily fished for you would not have the best of luck using that sort of rig on a stocked carp fishing lake but i still use rigs just like this for carp fishing on the rivers where the carp dont get presured and harldy get to see a rig throughout the year.. 30 lb line sounds a bit high what diameter is the line.. My biggest carp to date is 33 pound 4 oz that was caught on 12 pound line, most people here use 12-15 lb line with a diameter of around 0.30 to 0.40 give or take depending on your chosen line. thanks for the great video its good to see our american brother taking up carp fishing and i very much look foward to watching some more of your videos.. sorry for my spelling and punctuation i should of spent more time in school and not bunked off to go fishing for days on end..
