Yup nice memory Eric. Game 11 was following Fischer - Keres, 1962 for 14 moves or so. Great game by Fischer, but here you definitely out-performed Keres wrt this opening.

To come up with a sequence like that is nothing special. Most 2000+ players come up with similar ideas routinely. To spot it so quickly and conclude with confidence that it must be winning after like 10 seconds of thought? Now that's some superGM stuff.

at 11:48, can eric play rxd3? if qxd3, qxg2 is mate. if rxd3, bxg2 and if qxg2, that leaves the rook on d3 unprotected

Queen g3 after bxg2 and it seems Eric only has a pawn for the exchange. Alternatively what about changing up the move order and playing bxg2 instead of rxg3 then if bxg6 then bxh3 and if qxg2 only then rxd3

Good point, but if you look deeper the a8 rook isn’t a problem, since After my variation, after rxd3 rxd3; bxg2 qxg2; qxd3 qxa8+, black can block with the Bishop and threaten an unstoppable back rank mate (either on d1 or with qxb1, if the b1 rook doesn’t move). Only way to block is with qf3, but that gives up the b1 rook for free with the same back rank idea. At the end of the day tho, all Eric won was a pawn. Chess is a stupid game

Oh damn but after qxb1, the c1 bishop is pinned and needs to be defended by the queen, which doesn’t matter since after the defense black plays ba3 and there’s no way to save the Bishop. Black actually wins. Success.
