Diane surely seemed more than socially awkward. How come when two seemingly nice and polite students get together, they do such a horrible thing? And what I believe is that without Diane, the boy would not have become a murderer. It baffles me no one ever noticed anything wrong with Diane growing up because that's not something a normal adolescent would really think to do. And what creeps me out is if she had kept quiet, they wouldn't have ever been caught. It's a pitty nothing much is ever very clear about their background. That's why I like watching the Bella Grande episodes where a better understanding of what drove the person to the crime. Another great episode Dr Grande, thanks.

I like that he understands that lockup isn't a "Hotel" like some make them out to be. It's a dangerous cramped place and it's very easy to get caught up in someone else's BS. The little bit that inmates do get are just a tool to keep them somewhat in line through taking those things away if they misbehave. It's kind of like a big daycare center only a lot more dangerous because we're dealing with dangerous people (not all are dangerous but there's some who are). I was never in prison, but I spent two years in a county and I can assure you it's nothing like staying in a "hotel" like some people say. Even prison television shows don't grasp the full situation behind the scenes. I made it through two years only getting into one fight which wasn't even really a fight. It was more like them swinging at me then me holding them in a headlock on the floor until they calmed down. I think me being extremely introverted helped me get through it. But the main thing that kept me going was realizing there were people in third world countries living in worse situations than I was even though I was being punished. I at least had somewhat clean water, crappy food and shelter. Some people don't even have that. Also forgiving my dad for all the stuff he did to me over the years and letting all that go helped out a great deal. The main thing that still makes me mad to this day tho was watching pedophiles get much lighter sentences than I got for altering a prescription to try to get a few extra pills. To me, I feel a predator is more of a threat to society than someone trying to get some extra pills on a script. But whatever. Maybe there would be less pedophiles if they actually gave them harsher punishments.

All anger, jealousy, etc is included, and would have *excluded* her 40 year prison sentence had she listened and her sentence would never have existed. It is said that there wasn’t actually any sex involving Adrian. David just shot his mouth off to Diane for reasons known only to him. I just feel for Adrian’s family to constantly hear all the rumors about their daughter.

My best friend had Adrian Jones as the babysitter of his children when this happened. When she was murdered it VERY MUCH upset his children. They were 10 & 7. Him, me, and two other friends of ours would go out for barbecue and some live entertainment and his children stayed at his house with Adrian. My best friend was divorced by this time of the children's lives and their mother lived in a different part of the state. But my friend was very responsible with his children and this whole situation was SUCH a huge mess and caused a LOT of grief among all of us. My best friend had been in the Navy as a high-performance aircraft mechanic (F15s, etc.) so he knew the moment that the homicide happened that there would be JAG all up in the faces of everyone. They came and questioned him about some things because of Adrian's reputation. Adrian had been on many occasions VERY flirtatious with all four of we 30-somethinh me. In my opinion, she just liked male attention. A LOT. Adrian made me VERY uncomfortable and I didn't like being around her at all. In my opinion, it was like she could sense that from we older men and she liked knowing that she could make us uncomfortable. I always just wanted to leave and go out and get the evening's fun started of bowling and barbecue or a good live band. None of we four drank alcohol so we had fun just laughing and having a good time and joking at each other's light-hearted expense. Adrian was DEFINITELY the fly in the ointment, it seemed to me. I don't want to speak ill of the dead, but this situation just is what it is. It ended up being a HUGE mess and after my best friend and the rest of us had JAG people questioning us it made for undue stress for us and Diane Zamora, of course, certainly didn't seem to care. As far as I was concerned, she is as crazy as a loon. I met her three times and I never understood the attraction to her by ANY male. I wanted to be as far away from her as possible. She had an evil grin that would chill The Joker. So after all was said and done, it ruined the pattern of good times I had with my best friend and our other two friends. Things just never felt the same again because of the seeming constant apprehension of hiring a babysitter or just being away from my best friend's two children. He was very emotional one evening after the trial and he started weeping and said, "I should have NEVER left my house and been away from my kids just so I could go have a bit of even just innocent fun. There are crazy people out there. Diane could have come in and murdered my children one evening while you and I and everyone but Adrian was gone from the house. It cod have been SO bad! I'm never leaving them with a babysitter again and they will be old enough to be by themselves before I do that again. I love my kids more than anything in this world. NEVER AGAIN!"So my best friend never did and we would just hang out at his house. Twice before the murder, Adrian suggested we all just stay at his house and her not have to babysit and we could all just play cards and other parlor games. There was NO WAY that was gonna happen. We were all so uncomfortable with her suggestion that we left and decided to just go do some fun stuff together the next day, Saturday. Barbecue and bowling and just chilling out. She didn't even know we had ditched her the next day. There's more I cod say here, but I won't. I've said enough. This has enough drama that has been let out of the bag without letting even more out. As soon as I saw that this case was your video topic it brought up A LOT of VERY bad feelings and memories. It is absolutely nothing but a small group of seemingly promising young people just utterly destroying each other. It's very painful to me, my best friends to even think about. But I'm glad you had it as your topic so people can see that even more than 25 years later it is still affecting the innocents of the whole situation. I still struggle to deal with the thought of what it did to my best friend. He held I due guilt for many years in regard to how he felt like he left his children in very vulnerable situation with Adrian and Diane. I myself don't believe they were ever in danger with Adrian. All the danger lay with Diane. Again, crazy as a loon.

They certainly lacked nuanced thinking and the ability to recognize their feelings and manage them in a sensible manner. After hearing this case I thought to myself maybe society in a way did need the sexual revolution of the 1960's so that hypocritical predators like both Diane Zamora and David Crowie when being tried then among jurors who hear their defense they feel less sympathy towards that kind of hypocrite who does an honor killing of someone. After hearing this case it left me wondering if way more other people in history after experiencing triangulation when very young while their reproductive hormones are at a peak while in that muddy sea called premarital sex later while harboring deep resentment instead of murdering someone in an honor killing seek revenge in way more covert ways. Which would explain why so many women in Ireland after they fell in love while not being able to wait when they got discovered in it then sooner or later often ended up institutionalized in insane asylums for the rest of their life. Imagine if Diane Zamora and David Crowie never got caught and then they made it through university to become mental health professionals instead. What a more terrible city that would have been for poor single young people up to age 30, who cannot afford to bring up a young family, to live in.

This might just be my favorite analysis yet. Dripping with shade at every turn. I freaking love it! I've always been fascinated with this case. It so odd and tragic how two seemingly intelligent teenagers with amazing futures ahead of them and an intense belief in rules and consequences could end up breaking the ultimate rule of law and order to just throw away their freedom along with their future careers, something they worked and planned so hard to build. Then ultimately turn on the supposed sacred relationship that they held up as so special and neverending that they were willing to kill for it. Its amazing how quickly undying love can die once a prison sentence is on the table. My heart goes out to the Jones family. They lost a child over the immaturity of 2 star crossed lovers with a twisted interpretation of love and honor. A beautiful girl lost her entire future at the hands of these two lovesick fools and it is incredibly tragic, heartbreaking and should never have happened. Rest in peace AJ.

It’s unfortunate that the consequences of trying to steal someone’s boyfriend and/or just mess around with him were so disproportionate to the crime. But one of the lessons I hope people can take away from this is that there are consequences when you behave this way. And you never know how severe they will be...
