Too much bait in the cast net!

Since you have a rope handle bucket, I normally use a dog leash (I have my dog on the boat with me) and clip the rope, and leash it to a cleat and throw it over the side, and let it fill with water. You are going to crush your bait when trying to lift that much over into the boat. I submerge the bucket (it will float back up), and bring the net over the bucket, and release all the bait into the bucket. Then dip net the bait (in better condition now that it wasn't crushed) into the bait well.
