13 reasons why should be MUCH HIGHER AT LEAST IN THE TOP 10!!!! The 4th season was flawless!!! The first 3 seasons were amazing too!!!! But season 4 the acting was perfection. The plot and the writing. Everything!!!!

As the plots got more convoluted and characters never stayed dead. (Seriously, some people have to die on supernatural shows), Ian Somerhalder as Damon was the only reason I watched to the end, and even that took me a while to do.

I read a comment above from a guy saying TVD is the best show he’s ever watched clearly he hasn’t watched Buffy and the real blow is that TVD is before Buffy on this list!!! I’m only saying this because it’s clear where TVD got most of their source materiel but I’m still pretty shocked the shows with no substance like gossip girl and PLL are before Buffy, this list is B.S

@@dontbesad7711 it's about couple of teenagers that struggle with their identities in all kinds of ways! It deals with many important social issues and is very unique when it comes to the dialogue and cinematography, you'll see. But make sure to watch the original, that's the norwegian one!

S1 focuses on Eva and her boyfriend Jonás and they have problems like trust issues S2 focuses on Noora falling in love with someone she shouldn’t and the aftermath of that S3 focuses on Isak and coming to terms with his sexuality and also learning about mental illness S4 focuses on Sana and learning how to live as a religious girl and having a typical high schools girl life It’s a really lovely show, it teaches a lot about life and if you want to watch it just search skam (and the season) on dailymotion

i’m glad gossip girl is #1 people don’t tend to look into how influential and impactful it is till this day it gets very overshadowed by the popularity of it but without gossip girl shows such as pretty little liars wouldn’t be around

It's not the same as Pll. Just because both of the shows have an anonymous person torturing them, it doesn't mean that Pll wouldn't have existed. Pll is a mystery show, gossip girl is not. Pll has much more agony and suspense. So I don't think that Gossip Girl had that much of an influence, at least on pll.

@@dimitrispantakidis6227 thing with pll and gg is that though pll had a good plot it wasn't portrayed well with the acting and though the plot for gg was weak with the acting of Blake lively, Leighton mester, Ed Westwick and the rest gg was made to feel better than it would with other actors.

@@ilovewafflefries2 Personally I love pll and gg not so much, but that doesn't mean anything of course, you can like whatever you want, but I believe that gg didn't quite have that big of an influence on pll, plus pll is a whole different genre from gg. But I understand and respect your opinion, of course :)

I normally agree with miss mojo's list but Degrassi is like the perfect teen series it has so many characters on the show that dealt with so many different issues. I have honestly never seen any teen series like it . I am still happy that it got the third place but honestly vampire diaries and Gossip girl should not have come before it, it should have been number 1. No hate towards Gossip girl am sure it's a great show and also I love vampire diaries but Like I said before Degrassi is the boss of teen shows👍

YES JULIE AND THE PHANTOMS. it’s honestly such a really great series and i can’t believe that it’s actually madison reyes’ (julie) first project, she was so good in it. also her chemistry between charlie gillespie is just amazing. owen patrick joyner and jeremy shada also slayed the show. they better get renewed for a season two.

90210 is the original teen drama. It really should have been number one. Also Buffy (my actual favorite) should be higher up. It set the standard for supernatural teen dramas like TVD. Also, I feel personally attacked that My So Called Life isn’t even mentioned.

One Tree Hill should be number 1. It was on for 9 seasons and was called the Little Show That Could because the cast and crew never knew if it would be picked up for more seasons and was always the last show to get picked up for more seasons. It is the greatest TV show of all time in my opinion and it's my favorite show of all time. One Tree Hill dealt with topics other shows never really dealt with like the school shooting episode and psychotic people. You go through a roller coaster of emotions when watching One Tree Hill.

I’m trying to understand how Buffy (a multi-layered show with complex 3Dimensional characters, metaphors in every episode, insane hidden foreshadowing, intriguing symbolism, witty dialogue, and 3 Emmy’s, as well as having college essays and courses about it trying to decipher its secret codes and all around depth) was lower than TVD and PLL. The Body and Restless episodes are literal art. But that’s just my opinion. It changed television and that’s a fact.

I'm a bigger fan of TVD (it's my favorite show) but I firmly believe we wouldn't have ever had something like TVD without Buffy, so I would say Buffy definitely deserves to be higher. It laid the groundwork for a lot of the more modern teen shows.

But it unfortunately transcends its genre both as a supernatural and teen show which is why it's almost never ranked no. 1 in those genres though it is far better than most shows in the genre yet you'd find it on most GOAT lists. The other shows capture the teen drama genre better/more classically. I think it explains why Veronica mars was ranked low and Euphoria even it keeps it's high quality might suffer the same fate

I agree.. they may not be the best shows but in terms of popularity when they were on and influence on shows to come I think both Dawson’s Creek and Beverly Hills 90210 should’ve been ranked higher.

I understand that My So-Called Life only lasted a single season, but it should be a lock in the top five of this list. In a time where 90210 and Saved by the Bell were glamorizing the high school years, teenagers, My So-Called Life mastered the imperfections of adolescence that every teen tv show attempts. It said teens don’t feel beautiful, your first love isn’t always what you thought it’d be, she’s not always gonna like you back, friendships don’t always get amended, etc. Also, it sparked the first online campaign to attempt to save a show from being canceled.

How is Skam only honorable mention? That show is amazing and deserves more recognition and apprectiation outside Europe. There's no way this is just a honorable mention - it has so freaking many remakes. You don't make a remake of bad show. But the original is still the best. Anyway love the video

I’m sorry why is Buffy number 5!? The vampire diaries wouldn’t have gained the audience it had without Buffy making the popular culture impact it had same can be said for Dawson’s creek . They should have been top two.

PERIOD. TVD is a good teen soap opera but if you want a show that’s layered, complex, impactful, and packed with emotion- watch Buffy. It changed television and it astonishes me how much it’s pushed aside nowadays.

HELL NO. I was already questioning the list, but when PLL hit the top 10 on top of BH90210, Glee, Buffy, i just can't take it seriously. Half of the series here are new ones that are not must-watch shows. No no no.

gossip girl as number one is just embarrassing. sure it’s iconic but the writing of that show become atrocious. the top spot should’ve been something that’s actually good for the majority of its run (buffy, friday night lights)

Something about TVD above Degrassi doesn't sit right with me. I personally like Nina in Degrassi more than in TVD, also TVD was made because they had shows before it like Buffy so to have it above Buffy too is crazy to me
