The plaintiff moved in with her boyfriend’s niece, but then she got in a fight with the defendant’s boyfriend and got kicked out. She says the defendant threw out her belongings, so she’s suing. The defendant argues she asked the plaintiff for rent, but then she moved out immediately. She’s countersuing for five months of rent and lost wages.

You know I like JM but whenever there are certain people of color with “colorful” backgrounds, she has such a not so nice demeanor. The defendant couldn’t have been more gracious and respectful, she explained her side well and even at the end she tried to clarify something the judge obviously misunderstood but JM wouldn’t have it. I've been saying this for years. I like her show but I believe she has unconscious bias towards certain people of color. The way she talks to them is just.....different I can't really explain it. But others have noticed it as well.

@@j.g.3719I’ve noticed it too. I’d expect that as a minority herself, she’d offer a little more grace or at least acknowledge systems of oppression in her rulings. I understand law is law but she doesn’t even entertain the idea that our criminal justice system may be the slightest bit inequitable or unethical. It’s disappointing.

There is one episode where a black woman was suing for her big screen tvs and designer clothes and JM kept insulting her for having nice things while on disability. It was very odd because the woman said from the beginning she became disabled within the past year due to having cancer 😕 but JM kept making it seem like she was gaming the system.

The witness that admitted she couldn't keep her mouth shut and leaving was one of the best things I've seen😂. Also, the "husband" is probably in his late 50's and receives SSI for LEARNING disabilities? Both the Plaintiff and the husband are on probation for drug charges. SSI shouldn't be going to ANYONE convicted of drug charges. Absolutely disgusting.
