All of them had happened to me, and also I was sexually abused at age of 7. It was terrible and the effect of which is there even today. But with more therapy, i realize the damage is more from the parenting than even from the sexual abuse. Thanks for doing this. I hope atleast the next generation will not have to go thru my situation. 🙏 I can tell that all the advices here spot on. The best option is to work on yourself, pick up yourself and try to be independent. Everything shall pass. Keep dreaming. Your dreams will ce true for sure. Don't let anyone stop you.

Entire opposite things happened to me. I shared my issues with a teacher and she accused me of being ungrateful. I had bad friends who only backstabbed me and made me lose my self worth. And I got into a toxic relationship and on top of that , got slut shamed by everyone. Completely affected my studies. Took a long time to repair

I really needed to hear that talking to them doesn’t help coz I’ve been trying so so so hard to sort things out coz I thought it was just a communication issue and every time I try for a healthy discussion it ends up being a big issue about being ungrateful

Its hard for me to accept that the children have to deal with their toxic parents by themselves. Don't we have a legal support system where the children can report their grievances? Maybe like within the school itself. By such a practise, can't these toxic parents be made to attend counselling sessions through a legal mandate? I don't know if I am being unrealistic.

Please refrain from advising the children to get on the good book of the toxic parents. Because you already know it is not possible. Toxic parents don't follow logic. Whatever the child does the toxic parent will find a way to diminish it especially a narc parent. And they would get a kick out of watching the child agonizingly trying to prove that they did something good. And rebelism is good as long as it is with a cause and does not lead the child to dangerous situations. If the child is rebellious that is because the toxic parent failed to break them. A child in this kind of toxic household would not have the presence of mind or motivation to carry around a timetable of things to do to not get in trouble. And that would be so tiring to follow a timetable to which nothing pleases the toxic parent. Apart from these things the rest of the video was good. Who am I to say that? Well...I was the scapegoated child of NPD parents - a survivor.
