It makes me so happy to see that the native communities are still able to use the natural resources they've relied on for generations. I think that their respect for nature and their use of old techniques is beautiful.

I’m originally from Alaska and I belong to a small tribe called Chuloonawick which means salted salmon, I’m interested in the tribes harvest of salmon and lamprey eels. Ralph Jimmy in Vancouver WA.

In a perfect world, these people would have been realized as fish experts, or would have been able to develop some halal/kosher ritual for the rest of America to get fish.. Instead they were judged by appearance

Ha this guy. The worlds consumption of this salmon is killing it. It was the native ppls food first. Don’t see anyone going take there roots and sage that’s sacred to them but think it’s junk. It’s all the same value to the native ppl.

This special salmon is located in one place in the world and there were millions but it’s going fast. Faster then blue fin and no ones paying attention cuz it’s native ppl
