Thank you for Transformers! I love every issue. I just found out about your KZfaq channel when you mentioned it in the letter column of #4. One of the reasons I love your work on Transformers is how emotional it is. In the video you said it's hard to put the emotion on the page, but you really succeed in the end!

I've been absolutely enjoying not only the tale that's been told through every TF issue, but the art is phenomenal and it just hits Transformers perfectly. When the artist's torch eventually gets passed to another, I sincerely hope you're the one that keeps writing this story. Thank you for everything you do. Your talent is very much appreciated.

That 2 page spread was so sick. I just read #4 and Prime's "repair" job made my jaw drop. You are absolutely killing it with every issue, DWJ, don't ever think differently. I'm gonna miss you when you step away.

I just read issue 4 and I have to just say these issues reawakened a certain love for comics I haven’t felt in a while. The feeling of wanting to see what happens next. You are doing an amazing job on the storytelling front. I‘m a Transformers virgins, so to speak and as an old Zoomer my youth exposer to Transformers was the Micheal Bay movies that… didn’t leave a big impression on me. That’s why I can say with confidence that your work doesn’t rely on nostalgia while still pleasing long time fans from what I‘m seeing. A difficult task that you have succeeded in. So please keep doing what your doing and may all the hardships of the comic process be balanced out by you producing something that will last long and bring you success financially and creatively. I really hope this becomes something big and you get to tell a great epic saga with heart. All the love in the world.

I stumbled upon this series after Void Rivals. Immediately when I saw that German suplex in the first issue (and with the art), it clicked to me "Is this the same person who did Do A Powerbomb??" I'm so happy you've been given the reins to of a franchise series like Transformers after doing your own series.

Just subscribed after reading issue 4. I’ve enjoyed all the issues so far but what you did with Optimus’s arm (no spoilers) is genius! Can’t wait to see how it pans out. After being a fan of Paul Pope for a long time, to see an artist who has that beautiful brush work and energy to his drawings combined with awesome robots is a dream combination. Bravo 👏 besides the Last stand of the Wreckers, I haven’t read a transformers comic since the classic Marvel UK editions. There was some really dark moments in those old comics and I love that you’ve returned to that style. It feels gritty and real. Thanks for sharing your process, so good to see 🙌

This was by far my favorite comic I read last year, just good moment after good moment. Can't wait to pickup Issue 4.

A solid first 4 issues! Been a while since I've experienced a Transformers series as good as this! I think my favourite scene thus far is when Prune is talking with Spike, and Spike gets confused when Prime says he's like a god. And when Spike says he's inferior to Prime, Optimus rebuttals by saying "True, small. But still mighty." That is Optimus, always able to see the greatness in others, even when they can't see it themselves. Thank you for understanding that.

So cool and informative and I do appreciate your candid approach to discussing your own art. Also, the partway transformations are dope.

Thank you for showing your work! It's so cool seeing the process, and all the thoughts that went into each panel. Surprised to hear you call some panels bad, but I like the mindset to keep pushing forward and acknowledging one won't be happy with everything. Looved that double-page impact spread, love those robot feet stamping the ground, love the use of shadows and seeing so much violence from the Decepticons, love the onomatopoeia. Rockin' work! Learned of you through Transformers and enjoying following your work now!

Freaking Instant Classic! Almost every other comic from big 2 pales in comparison to this. If you have any sense of imagination you can FEEL the action right off the pages. This book gets me PUMPED!

Hello Mister Johnson. Hope you'll find this comment here. I'm a comic book artist from Bangladesh and I really really love your works. Being a huge fan of Extremity and the Transformers franchise I really want to collect the Transformers comics done by you. For me the only way to collect the hard copies of your comics are amazon India or amazon UK. But It seems the comics are not much available there. Found some issues on amazon UK but the price range of them is huge! More than the cover price! Also on amazon UK they are showing as pre-orders or something like that! I got your Extremity volumes from amazon UK and found them there easily which isn't the case for the Transformers comics. I just wanted to know is this series limited and not produced in much numbers for the market? Thanks.

Have you by chance read Blade of the Immortal? Prime's new arm is reminiscent of it's closing chapters...

Issue 4 is my new favorite but I imagine issue 5 will surpass it.

Spoilers As high quality as most of this storytelling is, especially with Optimus, I'm really disappointed in this take on Starscream's character. He's just a pure evil sociopath with no leadership skills that dies immediately to soundwave with no chance for him to develop. Even if he comes back as a ghost in this continuity it doesn't really matter because any semblance of this character's charm was assassinated from the start. He's got the backstabbing and the classic design is executed perfectly but he has literally no depth. One of the most interesting and one of my favorite characters in transformers reduced to empty fodder for a better respected character.

Biggest disappointment is the lack of your art in issue #7. The ball has been dropped bigtime! I’m only gonna get to imagine “S. Vs. S.” In your art style now?!?! Sigh, I mean the new guy is good but, all the action and art was restricted into the panels. Image needs to pay you enough to stay on this book.

Loved this, loved the art and loved the characterization. I've always found Starscream and Optimus kinda dull, not anymore, well done sir. Having read the latest issue if that naval boat is on it's way to take on Seacons... oh man. Seacons and bullhorn/Horri-bull are my guys! :)
